3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Thanks to Garin Wright of the Buckeye Brewing Co. for sharing this at the Cleveland Local Gathering Feb 05)
What a nice fruit beer! Great aroma of fresh apple juice. Has elements of both sweet and sour apple. Slick body, with the apple being upfront and a little bit of malt peeking through. Finishes on the tart side, making this very easy to drink. Would make a great summer/dessert beer.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2011 Bottle, 12oz, from trade with Silphium. Good nose, apples, some cocoa and bubblegum. Hazy brownish orange color, small to no head. Sweet tart flavors, apples, like a cider or apple sauce, tart ,like those hard candies. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, tart fruity finish. Nice brew, the brown ale cider mix is nice. Thanks Silphium. second bottle from trade with Ughsmash scores 6/3/6/3/12. didnít like quite as much second time around,

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Some apple in the nose but it is subtle, but as the label promises, it is fresh. Hazy amber. Looks like aple cider with a thin off-white head, mostly diminishing. Sweet, apple. This is good. The right amount of sweetness, beeriness, carbonation and sharpness. Very finely made. Some spicy tartness. The only thing I might say against this brew is that it is slightly too sweet. But, that really isnít a bad thing. I would imagine this would go fantastically with apple crisp.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a murky, dark amber-brown with a diminishing off-white head. Initial earthy yeast aromas. Strong aromas of apples come through and build as the head fades. Very brilliant apple flavors while staying complex. The malt and hops tame the apple, keeping it from tasting like pure apple juice. Malt has flavors of caramel and brown sugar, perfect compliments to the apple. Body is medium, creamy with a lively carbonation. I wish they would keep brewing this.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cleveland locals 2-26-05. I think Garin from Buckeye Brewing donated this to us, thanks. Dark golden color, big smooth apple taste all the way through but not in a cider way, itís still beer. Gets a little sweet but is mostly tart. Interesting.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled: Orange colour. Clear. Apple, sweetness, stearin in the aroma. Flaovur is very sweet and cloying. Obvious apple flavour, thats a bit too much for my likings. Ends on a very sweet note. Thanks Jeppe for sharing.

This beer is simplicity itself, but that can be a beautiful thing. Deep gold in colour this beer has an incredible aroma and taste of fresh apples. Not overly sweet, it almosts tastes like a cider, but I found it delicous.

Poured a medium amber copper color with a smaller off white head. Smells like the apple pie filling. Tastes of sweet apples. Sweet. Cinnamon sugar. Iím not much of a fruit beer kinda of guy, but this one was good. Thanks to goldtwins for trading me this one.

Amber with a frothy head and spotty lacing. Tart apple with bitter hops in the nose. Flavors of tart apples and some cinnamon. Dry and dusty with a tart finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a medium copper color, and the aroma is strong sweet apples. This beer presents a strong apple taste, with some very light malt hints when the beer is not cold, as well as pear hints too. Not a bad beer, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Thanks to eyedrinkale for the bottle!
