COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

When I opened the bottle I got a huge whiff of apple cider. Honey and apple cider. There was very little carbonation in this and the head never really gave it much of a try. Cidery look to it. This is definitely an apple flavored beer, with hints of cinnimon and honey. Too sweet. I was expecting more from this beer, but it is an interesting use of apple in beer.

Dark amber colored body with a thin off white head. Lots of carbonation in the glass. Aroma is tart Jonathon and Granny Smith apples. Much more intense aroma than most ciders. Also notes of fresh pie crust. The taste is less over the top, but still smacks you in the face. Fresh apples abound in this. However, they are not tart. Apple core and some bread and spicing come through. I can’t pull put any hop bittering. I am sad to say that while I am big fan of apples, NG fruit beers and ciders, this does not come together well. The tartness of their other fruit beers keeps them from being overwhelmingly fruity and sweet. This is too much apples and sweetness. Gets cloying very quickly.

A brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of apples. The flavor is sweet with an OK presence of apples as well as slight notes of malt, and a dry end.

(Bottle) Pours a dark, cloudy amber body with a thin, almonde coloured head. Nose of apple Slush Puppy. Very pitted, banana flavour with a sweet malt base. A tad syrup and artificial. Not my style but very good none the less. Many thankis to Muzzlehatch for sharing this at the 1st Annual Ciderwinder Tasting in Ottawa...

Nice copper pour witha thin head. Aroma is more of a lager yeast with a small apple smell. Flavor comes off as with a simple apple and malt marriage. Really not on par with NG’s other fruit beers, but still a quality beer. This would go great with pork chops.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small creamy off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is green apple and not much else. Flavor is apple as well, medium sweet and lightly tart. Medium body, low carbonation; nice enough, but why not just make (or drink) a cider?

12oz bottle, thanks to caterwaul. Clear orange color. Thin bubbly off-white head. Fades to minimal, leaves a few dots of lace. Tart taste, much more so than your typical ale. Tastes very cider-like. Moderate sweet. Definitely fall-type apple cidery taste, the non-alcoholic kind that comes in a plastic gallon. Moderate spiciness. Light to medium body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, kind of a slick finish. Interesting stuff, definitely very big on the apple, very apple-like. Maybe a bit too apple-like for me, though.

Deep Orange, with a tint of rose. Aroma is Apple jolly rancher all day, sweet hard candy. Taste quite dry throughout, with a green apple tang and just a little stickiness in the finish. Not too bad, straightforward all in all. Serendipity is the gold standard for fruit beers from NG...

Small tan/grey head, short lived with a small amount of spotty lace left behind. Lightly hazy copper color. Nose is of fresh sliced apples, juicy. Light bodied. Juicy apple flavors along with a faint caramel maltiness. Finish is lightly sweet and fruity. Facto!
