Napoleon hailed this tart beer style "the Champagne of the North." A lively and elegant masterpiece this Berliner Weisse is a kaleidoscope of fresh flavor. Barrel fermentation, Riesling grapes and Wisconsin White Wheat are bottle fermented with five proprietary yeast strains. A connoisseur’s rare jewel both spirited and subtle, enjoy your sparkling toast under summer stars.

Bottle; Pour is hazy light golden with a nice fine bubbled white head that dissipates into a chunky cloud, but quickly moving to something more modest, as it should. The nose is perfect as far as I’m concerned ; lemon zest, grass, a touch of dough here. The flavor profile is initial tart, lemon, zest, grass, moving to the wheat, must - Effervescent carbonation and a light feeling give this gem the ability to quench a thirst during this hot summer day. For the style, I found this one to be wonderful.

Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Smells of pale malts, light fruits. Tastes the same with a good amount of tartness. I could drink this all day and probably still drive home.

12oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. Mostly hazy paler yellow color. Thin white coating of head, few dots of lace. Good citrusy, mildly funky aroma. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Lighter body. More dry finish. Zesty, citrusy mild sweet taste, light tart, more dry finish, but not too light of a body. Tasty berliner weisse

Very similar to the original batch of Berliner Weiss. Perhaps not as grapey, but this is pretty delicious. Easy drinking 3% beer that is refreshing, tart, and crisp. Dry with a medium-light palate.

One of many 12 oz bottles consumed this summer. Think I picked these up near Milwaukee from a Woodman’s. Finally seperated out. Pours a nice yellow straw hue, light and a firm haziness, good glow. A very nice bright white creamy head atop stays larger, sticks around as a filmy layer and laces very well. Aromas offer gentle white grape, lemony and lactic sour elements, a bit of yogurt. Some wheat, gentle bread, and dry grainy and straw feel. Nice, a bit mellow. Initial is a lighter beer in body, quite crushable. Some nice effervescent carbonation meets a firm sourness. Lemony and lactic meets white grape, tart grape, and some straw. A bit of yogurt, medium sour middle with a touch of straw, dry bready malt. Backend lingers out with more grape, some yogurt, and a bit of dryness. Light, easily crushable in the heat. A nice enjoyable sour session Berliner. Although it was a long time ago, I do remember the Unplugged version to be a bit more vibrant, but this beer is still very nice.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Caleb! Hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, grain, slight lemon, hints of a touch of oaky notes, hints of corn as well, pretty nice and clean.  Taste is a mix of slightly tart fruits, lemon, touch of grain, biscuit, slight funk, hints of white fruits slightly come through.  Taste is clean, slight earth, grain, biscuit and cracker, going into a slight lemon, tart note, finishing clean, slightly dry.  Refreshing.

Bottle - Pours a hazy, yellow/white with lots of frothy foam. Aroma has some tartness, white grapes, and some malt. Some tartness up front, very smooth with lemon zest, white grapes, and wheaty. Overall, I could drink this all day long.
