Napoleon hailed this tart beer style "the Champagne of the North." A lively and elegant masterpiece this Berliner Weisse is a kaleidoscope of fresh flavor. Barrel fermentation, Riesling grapes and Wisconsin White Wheat are bottle fermented with five proprietary yeast strains. A connoisseur’s rare jewel both spirited and subtle, enjoy your sparkling toast under summer stars.

Bottle thanks to madbeerbaron. Nose has a somewhat muddled lactic note to it. almost a bit of hay with some underlying graininess. hazy, pale yellow with a medium sized white head that dies quickly. Taste is moderately tart with just a hint of sourness catching you in the gills. very clean and well done. Refreshing.

[Bottle (12oz) c/o Glouglouburp] Pours a hazy, quite bubbly yellow-gold with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy and a bit funky along with wheat, fruit and touches of bubblegum and salt. Tart, citrusy flavour along with wheat, a touch of salt and grain -- light tasting and maybe a bit watery but easy to drink. Average bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle received as an extra. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a medium plus sized white head. The aroma and flavor have lemony citrus, wheat, some funk, some white grape, mild lactic sour character. Decent body for a low abv beer. Very nice.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, straw, lemon zest and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of wheat, straw and light lemon zest with a crisp dry lightly tart finish.

12oz bottle thanks to either cbfobes or rdixon77, late summer 2014, I think. Hazy golden pour with a nice off-white head, good lacing. Okay aroma, light lemon, lactic, grainy. Nice flavor, tart, almost sour, mild grain, bread, melds together well, nicely balanced. Tasty.

Had a bunch of this between July and now (thanks Motortoddhead, for loading us up at Muckfest!), but I’m just now noticing it’s a separate entry from the old Unplugged version. Pours clear yellow with a huge white head. Aroma of funk, creamy wheat, tart fruit and sour lemon. Sour lemon flavor giving way to a creamy wheat finish. A true to style, perfectly balanced Berliner.

Bottle from adnielsen. Thanks Aaron! Minimal aroma of tart lemon and bread. Cereal, tart, lemon, yogurt flavors. Not an overly powerful beer, but solid.

Bottle from Aaron. Pours a very pale straw color with a large head. Aromas of wheat and sour lemons. Taste is tart and lightly sweet. Flavors of sour wheat, with some yogurt twang. Quenching. I dig this.
