3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 HighWine (836) - Whalesbro, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle to snifter. Light kumquat flesh color with a thin but clingy white head. Decent lace. Aroma is a delightfully dank tropical fragrance. Citra "fuel" up front but lots of tropical fruit smells. Taste is pretty nice. Same tropical fruit flavor but distributed in a layered and complex way throughout the taste. A sip of this followed by a sip of water makes me think of Juicy Fruit gum,. Light bodied with a dry finish. Again, pretty freaking nice.

Pours vibrant orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is dominated with pleasant citrus hops with spicy pine. Really good citrus notes. Bitter from the start to the finish with a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation. A great beer overall, very delicious IPA.

12 oz. bottle served in a FFF teku. Bottle shared by pmoney and also opened another bottle bottle two weeks later. Both equally as delicious.
A: Pours a clear amber color with a one finger height of white foam forming on the pour. Some soapy and splotchy lace is left down the glass.
S: Grapefruit and orange bursts of citrus with a nice piney undertone. A little bubblegum sweetness with sweet bread malt body.
T: Mango and orange. Lemon citrus with pineapple. A lot of tropical fruits going on. Marmalade sweetness with some light bitterness. White bread malt sweetness on the finish.
M: Medium to light bodied with a medium carbonation level. Sweet and fruity with a clean finish.
O: Delicious. So well balanced with a great mouthfeel. Fruity and sweet with a piney undertone. This is a top tier DIPA.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2013 Clear orange. Medium creamy white head, partially lasting. Alot going on in the aroma, balanced hoppy, some sweetness, citrus/grapefruit, touch of tropical, lemon, pine. Flavor is much the same. Not a ’hop bomb’. Full flavored medium body. Balanced bitterness, super smooth finish. Very easy drinking IIPA, but maybe a bit too astringent?. A safe, but well-done beer. Quite different from the others Ive had lately.

Aroma is a nice pungent resiny citrusy scent. Taste is grapefruit and citrus upfront, a little piney resiny taste in the back round. Actually very well balanced for a big hop bomb. Very solid double!! Glad I have 7 bottles left!!

12 oz bottle pours an almost clear golden orange color with small off-white head and some lacing, Smells of citrus and pine. Aroma is full of grapefruit, papaya, and pine with plenty of caramel malts for balance. Body is medium with perfect carbonation. This is deceptively easy to drink, with alcohol well hidden. Taste is initially sweet with a big hoppy dry finish. Mousthfeel is slightly sticky. Another winner from my favorite Wisconsin brewery.
