A few times a year we cut Dan loose to brew whatever he choose. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 19.2 Plato, now 9% ABV following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Clear yellow with small white head. Orange on the noise, grapefruit, very nice. Light bitter, sweet, not too much malt. Fruity hops with slight bitterness all the way through.

bottle from a fresh 4pack courtesy of armin, thanks mang! pours a just slightly hazy goldenrod with a nice active white head that leaves a lot of thick lacing and spotting. excellent aroma, slightly more floral than the taste, which has a bit more bitterness come out. which is a good dose mind you. then a very nice transition in to a sweeter malt finish, though still with some lingering soap like bitterness. good stuff, glad i was able to get some so fresh. while not totally insane on the flavor spectrum, it drinks really well and it very enjoyable, a winner of a local iipa for sure.

Grassy floral aroma and wet dog. Taste is much better than aroma with grassy floral hops with sweet finish. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle. Nose is grass, grapefruit, orange peel and musk. Medium light and resiny with moderate carb. Taste is pine, orange, grapefruit, basil and oregano. Great atypical offering from New Glarus.

12 oz bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thank you sir! Hazy bright golden color, white head. Aroma of pine and tall grass. Taste is not overly bitter, but smooth and crisp. Does not show its strength. Nice.

Really good experience. Pours a lovely golden yellow with nice, thick, long-lasting head. Floral and hop aromas. Flavor is strongly citrus--grapefruit--with nice, bitter hop residue. Trust the folks at New Glarus to turn out a really fine double IPA.

Bottle. Medium golden syrup colour with a thin head. Aroma is strong citrus with grapefruit and lemon. Flavour is quite sour with a strong hint of grapefruit in the aftertaste. Long very bitter palate. Lively carbonation

Resiny, floral..maybe even a bit of mango in there. It’s fine, hoppy creation. Bold, dry and all too drinkable if you really like hops. I am perhaps most impressed with its pale color and dry finish. The bitterness is not extreme as one might think, the hops are mostly kept up front in the aroma and flavor of this very fruity, hop resiny brew.

12oz bottle, thanks CaptainCougar. Clear apple juice body, small off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, light lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some peach, light bread. Smooth medium-full body.

Thanks to Badgerben for this. A clear yellow with ample white head and plenty of carbonation. The aroma has a nice sweet citrus character. The body is nicely bitter with that same sweet citrus and a mild malt. Very very smooth body. This is very session able. And very dangerous as the abv is well hidden.
