4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle from a fresh 4pack courtesy of armin, thanks mang! pours a just slightly hazy goldenrod with a nice active white head that leaves a lot of thick lacing and spotting. excellent aroma, slightly more floral than the taste, which has a bit more bitterness come out. which is a good dose mind you. then a very nice transition in to a sweeter malt finish, though still with some lingering soap like bitterness. good stuff, glad i was able to get some so fresh. while not totally insane on the flavor spectrum, it drinks really well and it very enjoyable, a winner of a local iipa for sure.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Grassy floral aroma and wet dog. Taste is much better than aroma with grassy floral hops with sweet finish. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thank you sir! Hazy bright golden color, white head. Aroma of pine and tall grass. Taste is not overly bitter, but smooth and crisp. Does not show its strength. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Really good experience. Pours a lovely golden yellow with nice, thick, long-lasting head. Floral and hop aromas. Flavor is strongly citrus--grapefruit--with nice, bitter hop residue. Trust the folks at New Glarus to turn out a really fine double IPA.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Resiny, floral..maybe even a bit of mango in there. Itís fine, hoppy creation. Bold, dry and all too drinkable if you really like hops. I am perhaps most impressed with its pale color and dry finish. The bitterness is not extreme as one might think, the hops are mostly kept up front in the aroma and flavor of this very fruity, hop resiny brew.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to Badgerben for this. A clear yellow with ample white head and plenty of carbonation. The aroma has a nice sweet citrus character. The body is nicely bitter with that same sweet citrus and a mild malt. Very very smooth body. This is very session able. And very dangerous as the abv is well hidden.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma:Thereís lots of grapefruit in the aroma, with an underlying sweetness. Secondarily there is some peach/apricot aroma too.
Appearance:Gold in color with a thick white head with big bubbles. The head doesnít last very long.
Taste:The hop bitterness is what hits me first, and thereís a lot of it. After a few sips, I can start to discern the peach/apricot flavors, which come on slowly through the foretaste, peaking in the midtaste, and then slowly fade away. The hop bitterness also sticks around for quite a while on the aftertaste, masking all but a hint of the nuttyness I expect from the marris otter malt.
Palate:This beer has a medium thick body, with good (nearly excessive) carbonation. Strong hop astringency is present in this one. I was expecting more alcohol warmth, but if itís there, itís well hidden.
Overall:This IIPA is very well done, and quite pleasant, I really enjoy it. That said, Iím not sure that itís all the extreme in flavor, and thereís not much to make it stand out in a crowd.
