COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A few times a year we cut Dan loose to brew whatever he choose. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 19.2 Plato, now 9% ABV following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Backlog bottle thanks to so many good ratebeerians. The look is clear, white head, and golden yellowish in color. The smell is super hoppy, so good. right up in your face, citrus. The taste is the same, pine, fruits, citrus, bitterness, and a big hoppiness.

Bottle thanks to adnielsen. Pours a orange golden color with two finger of thick sticky foam. Nose is pine, honey malt and citrus. Palate follows with a heavier grapefruit punch, big grassy bitterness and a heavy round malt sweetness that balances the bitterness nicely.

Pours a bright cloudy yellow with a half finger head and good lacing down the glass. Smells of citrus with lots of yeasty tones. Starts off with some citrus and grapefruit. Just a touch of bread then finishes pretty bitter and dry with a grapefruit pith flavor. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Pretty good. I enjoy the grapefruit flavors although I’ve had a few that have done it better. Still recommended though if you can get it.

Bottle from the brewery.Pours a clear light pale orange.Rich short head, lots of lace. Pungent fresh aroma, bright sharp citrus fruits,spicey-peppery,underlying mild sweetness. Taste is hoppy, fresh, clean malt, drying alcohol finish-a bit hot almost. Lots of strong sharp hops, piney and stingingly peppery.Citrus in the background.Vapory alcohol in finish. I almost wonder if this is too fresh and needs to chill out with some fridge time.Kinda hot and not the MO malt Im familiar with, maybe with time it will show a little more because at this point its nothing other than hops and alcohol not in a bad way though.

Bottle at Paul’s July 2013 tasting. Pours a light hazy body. Aroma is super fresh pine and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of citric hops, citrus fruits, lots of pine, resin and some floral character. Very light malt base smooths out the finish making this a refreshing, drinkable double IPA.

Pours a mostly clear golden color and topped by a nice thick off-white colored head of foam. The aroma is bursting with citrus fruits and hops atop a backbone of toasted bread malts. The flavor follows suit with the citrus fruit including orange and grapefruit, and balanced out nicely by the toasted malts. The body is nice and full with ample carbonation and hop bitterness that leads to a slight warming finish. As the beer warms up it starts to get a touch boozy, but overall a solid ipa from one of my favorite breweries.
