Saison, the original Farmhouse Ale, was the refreshing invention of thirsty Belgian farmers. Wisconsin pale barleys brewed with Grains of Paradise in this bright new copper hued ale. Deceptively approachable, its complicated fermentation incorporates a blend of three Belgian yeast strains and is fully bottle conditioned. Fresh hops snap with lemon zest and peppery ginger notes, lending to its enigmatic personality. Enjoy, as this sassy Wisconsin Saison is at its best thirst quenching drinkability now.

Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis picked up at Historic Casanova’s. Pours a bit cloudy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Lemon peel, zesty spicy, a bit peppery, barnyard, straw, carbonated aroma. Pretty dry, lemon/tangerine citrusy, a touch funky, barnyard, hay, white pepper, a bit zesty flavor. Easy to drink and pretty tasty.

Bottle. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Grainy, honey, citrus flavor with a dry, lingering finish. Very nice saison.

Some citrus and a little sour funk. Pours an amber like golden color with not much head. Taste is a big time citrus, with a very nice lemon tart sour like flavor. Just started to enjoy sours and saisons. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden and hazy. Great aroma of wheat, citrus and spice. Pepper in the flavor as well as some belgian funk. Dry and crisp. Got this from Josh on his trip back from WI.

12oz bottle. Rating #60. Hazy dark gold pour with a little orange and a nice white head. Nice fruity aroma, a little bubblegum and a very light spice, very nice. Nice flavor, lightly sweet, more fruit and a little dry. Very good stuff. (2494)

A nice saison by normal standards, but honestly a bit of a let down for new Glarus

12 oz. bottle, the third of a four-pack that I’ve consumed over the last couple of months. Fresh aroma features apple, white grape juice, sweet cigar, and leather scents. Pours an effervescent, slightly hazy but mostly clear gold. Many small bubbles rise up at a moderate speed. Large amount of long-lasting, thick, uneven, off-white head. Sweet and sharp taste with a dry, minerally finish. Apple cider, lemon, salt, and a touch of vinegar in the flavor. Booze surprisingly noticeable. Medium body. Frothy and silky in the palate. New Glarus Thumbprint Saison is good across the board but not outstanding.

Very Simple no frills saison that is refreshing and lightly hoppy to add a lemon grass type flavor. Drinkable and nice.

12oz bottle: pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with lots of clove and a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with lots of effervescent carbonation and a light malty sweetness with a healthy dose of peppery clove and yeasty esters before a drier, slightly warming bittersweet finish. Could be a little smoother with finer carbonation.

Yes! Bottle thanks to the awesome Andy and Dennetta. Pours orange-tinted mostly clear gold with a white head. Nose shows grain, pepper, some banana. On the sweet side for a saison, and certainly more of an American-style saison in my estimation, but one of the best. Lively palate. Super solid.
