3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear gold with only a little head. Smells of orange and peach. Smells a little like a Sauvignon blanc to me. Palate is very carbonated but the flavor is very subtle. Not really sweet with a little bitter aftertste

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden color with a large head. Classic Belgian yeast aroma: yeasty, slightly spicy, almost some black pepper and lemon. Dry barley and grainy flavor. A bit of floral hop. Unbelieveably dry. Some straw and black pepper. Bready. Nearly full bodied.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Brookfield Discount. Pours very clear yellowish golden with fine bubbles and a white head. Leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is of all belgian yeast, plus some fruitiness and some bread. Taste has cloves, other spices, fruit, plenty of esters, a bit of earthiness. Dry and very belgian-y. Finishes with a small burst of sweet alcohol. Fresh, but not as saison-y as belgian-y to me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355mL thanks to LtDan at Woodshop 7. Clear straw pour, weak head. Nose is banana and clove with spicy apple pie. Taste is spicy and seltzer with mild fall spices. Ends medicinal and sweeter. Aerated palate. Just way too much German hefeweizen yeast character. Not really fresh, snappy, dry, or doughy. More sweet, thick, and banana heavy. Ester overload.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle) Pours a semi-hazy light gold with a medium white head which stays and minimal lacing. Looks well-carbed with an abundance of bubbles streaming upward. The aroma is the real highlight of this beer, with scents of lemon sugar cookies, Maytag bleu cheese funk (confirmed by a trip to the fridge), and some new-car smell. Somewhat of a punchy and spicy quality to the nose too, which could be the ginger and pepper component talking. Itís odd that when you swirl the beer, the aroma sweetens considerably, but if you let it sit, the earth and funk take hold. The flavor is a disappointment when compared to the aroma, as itís fairly one-dimensional. Thereís a strong basal tone of earth and light funk, with just faint glimmers of the lemon and spice being displayed. A bit bready and crackery on the finish. Flavor becomes a little more interesting with warming, as bubblegum and light banana show up. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is lively. Overall I really enjoyed the nose and was let-down a bit by the flavor.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Typical American saison, It pretty much hits all the key notes for the style. The belgians do it better though.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Unfiltered, hazy orange tan. Respectable soapy white head. Sweet aroma, a little sugary, but some nice funky notes too. Lots of spices, ginger notes. Really pleasant effervescence, some bubblegum/champagne notes. Lots of depth, a dry hoppy bite complements the funky yeast tones. Solid.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, pours brilliant, slightly hazy gold with huge white head that dissipates to about a quarter-finger. Not much lacing. Nose is lemony, with a bit of pepper and barnyard. Crisp yet smooth mouthfeel, some light funk, bright citrus. Tongue-prickling texture, lasting finish. Not quite as dry as Iíd normally like, but New Glarus does it again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is yeast, light grains, pear, banana, faint spicy hops.
Pours a hazy light yellow color, thick white head dissipates to a thin film of foam in a couple of minutes, little lacing.
Flavor leans towards the fruit character - banana and pear are dominant, also some pineapple. Bread and yeast notes with some nice light malts, just a touch of sweetness in the background. Bitterness is low-medium, crisp and refreshing. Light body, medium carbonation. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light copper, with medium sized head. Aroma is a bit musty and fruity. Flavor is quite fruity, with some peach and citrus mixed with pepper and even some hop bitterness in there. Itís a very satisfying beer and a great summer one.
