COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison, the original Farmhouse Ale, was the refreshing invention of thirsty Belgian farmers. Wisconsin pale barleys brewed with Grains of Paradise in this bright new copper hued ale. Deceptively approachable, its complicated fermentation incorporates a blend of three Belgian yeast strains and is fully bottle conditioned. Fresh hops snap with lemon zest and peppery ginger notes, lending to its enigmatic personality. Enjoy, as this sassy Wisconsin Saison is at its best thirst quenching drinkability now.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a smaller white head. Smell is a bit funky yeast, spicy, fruits, cracker. Taste is sweet fruity esters, banana, spice, little citrus, doughy yeast, earthy hops. There is a lingering spice. Medium body with pretty dry finish. Pretty good but not up to where Id hope it to be.

Bottle from akurzinski - thanks, Adam! Nice bright orange pour, a soft glow and a fast-fading carbonation. Not even much lacing, just a few thin bubbles left on the surface. Body is much fuller, palate fairly lively. But the taste is a bit indistinct, with hints of apple juice, yeast and spice and a dose of dry hops. Enjoyable, competent, but not quite up to NGs high standards I think.

Sampled at the Richmond Gathering 19. Pours a light hazy straw with ring of white. Kind of a dusty, light peppery, sweet, musty, old lemon zest. Not all that impressed honestly. Meh

Overripe lemon nose, hot. Cloudy yellow, fine floaties, thin head. Lemongrass, crackers. Pretty nice, but rather hot, especially for the style.

From the bottle poured a cloudy yellow brew with a light yellow head. Nice aromas of banana, bubble gum. Medium bodied with adry malt flavor.

12 ounce bottle brought back by a friend and shared at the 19th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Thanks PJ! Pours a hazy straw color with a large fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bread, citrus, spice, caramel, herbal hops, tropical fruits. The taste is tart citrus, bread, herbal hops, spicy finish. Medium bodied, lingering spice, faint heat. Nice beer.

Light yellow, billowy head, pretty looking. Estery aroma, spicy, at times I wish it was slightly fruitier. Still a very solid saison.

Fruity yeasty slightly sour aroma. Cloudy gold with a lingering thick white head. Dry. Crisp. Velvety Sweet and slightly bitter finish. There is some fresh fruit in here. Very refreshing. Definitely would have been more aptly paired with spring.

Bright, fizzy, Bretty aroma. Smells like a traditional farmhouse saison. Taste throws tradition out the window as Granny Smith apples take center stage. Mildly sweet. Blazes its own trail.
