COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison, the original Farmhouse Ale, was the refreshing invention of thirsty Belgian farmers. Wisconsin pale barleys brewed with Grains of Paradise in this bright new copper hued ale. Deceptively approachable, its complicated fermentation incorporates a blend of three Belgian yeast strains and is fully bottle conditioned. Fresh hops snap with lemon zest and peppery ginger notes, lending to its enigmatic personality. Enjoy, as this sassy Wisconsin Saison is at its best thirst quenching drinkability now.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeast, malt and spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex drinkable beer.

Bottle... Clear yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is fruity, yeasty and spicy - pear, apricot, clove and white bread. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor leans spicy and sweet, but there is a small measure of unobtrusive, minerally bitterness that prevents cloying. Nice pear and apricot components. Crisp, spicy, clove finish. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

12oz bottle: pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with lots of clove and a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with lots of effervescent carbonation and a light malty sweetness with a healthy dose of peppery clove and yeasty esters before a drier, slightly warming bittersweet finish. Could be a little smoother with finer carbonation.

Bottled. Poured clear, brilliant golden with a short-lived white head. The aroma picked up bright grains of paradise, apricot, and some cloves over dank grapefruit meat, bready notes, and a little honey.. this was overly-hopped according to style guidelines, but I’m ignoring that, and I really wanted to drink it. The flavor found bready and honey sweetness at the core, with bright, juicy tropical fruit and grassy hoppage plus grains of paradise around.. even brighter toward the back, picking up dry white pepper and cloves. Medium-bodied with heavier, rolling carbonation on the palate.. very spicy and hoppy.. a hair too big to really be refreshing, but it was mighty tasty, and I intend to drink a lot of these.

Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis picked up at Historic Casanova’s. Pours a bit cloudy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Lemon peel, zesty spicy, a bit peppery, barnyard, straw, carbonated aroma. Pretty dry, lemon/tangerine citrusy, a touch funky, barnyard, hay, white pepper, a bit zesty flavor. Easy to drink and pretty tasty.

Bottle. Musty lemon, yeast, and barley malt aroma - very nice. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large head. Musty lightly sweet lemon and barley malt flavor. Very tasty - wish they’d make this a regular.
