Thin bright white head of fine bubbles. Light fruity aroma with some roasted malts, band aids? spices and decaying vegetables. Very strange. I have had this before and dont remember the aroma being like this. Color is a slightly hazy medium orange. Roasted grains, pine, dried orange peel and a moderate bitterness. Also a noticable alcohol presence and warming. Lingering soft malts and some chalky spices. A very good IIPA but this bottle may be a little bit off. Will look to update when i drink my other bottle.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2015 Bottle purchased at Historic Casanova in Hudson, WI. Consumed at a pizza farm. Deep golden orange with a hazy tendency. Aroma has pine and citrus notes but heavier on the former. Taste is tropical fruits and sweeter than other imperial IPAs. Orange or tangerine is present. Oily mouthfeel almost reminiscent of a resin. Just a well balanced and tasty effort. This is finally a New Glarus with driving over to WI for...leave the Spotted Cow for the cheeseheads.

big tangerine and grapefruity nose. flavor follows suit. pretty dank too, and definitely better than any other hoppy New Glarus beer to date. Wish I had more.

6/28/15. 12oz bottle my dad brought down! Orange pour with a nice khaki head, thick lacing after every sip - looks good! Bright hop aroma, orange, grapefruit, zesty, fruity, light pine and mint. Lightly sweet flavor, a very smooth hop bitterness, citrus, orange, grapefruit, and again something that makes me think of mint. Tasty!

Bottled. Brandy punch in color, hazy, with a smallish bright white head. Big tangerine, apricot, passion fruit and grapefruit flesh aroma - tremendously floral and fruity. Fruits follow into the initial flavor, but quickly turn into spruce and light leather. Finish is a bit dry, piney and has a bit of dried straw and vanilla cookie. Very tasty.

Piney smell with a bit of citrus. Tastes like an IPA. All hops. I don’t like IPAs, so that’s a bad thing to me.

Pours a cloudy orange with about 2 fingers of stark white slowly dissipating head. Orange zest and syrupy hops in the nose. the taste is not as sweet as you’d expect- a surprisingly blunt hop up front that softens into a nice soft fruit and plum taste that then ends with a hoppy aftertaste. More complex than a lot of DIPAs for sure.

Bottle from a quad brought back by a friend. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, grass, pine and light citrus. Sweet malt and caramel flavor up front, giving way to tropical fruit and booze before a citrusy finish. Tasty.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange color. Some off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is very floral hops, resin, and citrus. Flavor is heavy grapefruit. Palate is just thick enough. Overall an excellent beer.
