Scream pierces reality, effortlessly slicing our sky, He flies over the Brewery just as Abe circled over Wisconsin’s 8th Infantry during the Civil War. He calls us to something bigger. Scream boasts an inspired 85 IBUs that reverberate cleanly though this IIPA. New Glarus Brewery grown estate hops join other Wisconsin grown hops to dominate this brew from Kettle Boil to Dry Hopping. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 20.9 degrees Plato following the always 100% naturally bottle conditioned fermentation. Luscious Wisconsin grown and malted barley along with English Maris Otter malt is the bold heart of this lustful sensory enchantment. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy today.

Note: New version of IIPA from the Thumbprint series. OG has been upped to 20.9 degrees plato.

Solid ups here. Strong aroma gives you clear warning to what you are about to drink. Love the hoppy taste that goes down smooth ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, many thank to Rian (Thirstybird), brought back from his recent trip home across the pond. Hazy orange with a thick white collar. Drinking this beer really makes me yearn to visit the USA, to try copious quantities of beers brewed with the freshest of local hops. Seldom have I tried a UK brewed, hop forward beer that delivers this sort of drinkability at IIPA strength. Almost too complex to describe. So balanced but intensely hoppy. Wonderful stuff! Cheers again Rian.

A hard hitting IIPA. Tastes like a wet hopped but no background on this beer. I am incredibly upset that New Glarus only distributes in Wisconsin.

12 oz. bottle from Woodman’s Market, Oak Creek, WI. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit rind and fresh pine needles. Citrus hop-forward taste of tangerine, grapefruit, and passion fruit with a caramel malt backbone. Finish is somewhat bitter but pleasant and not overwhelming. A nicely done DIPA.

Healthy cloudy orange pour with full inch of white head. Thick lacing and lots of effervescent bubbles rising in glass. Amazing mix of smells including tropical fruits, pollen, lavender, berries, pert citrus. Softer carbonation, creamy viscous mouthfeel, finishes very clean. Flavor is strong but not overwhelming. Taste of zesty citrus rind, spiciness that is indistinct, grapefruit, herbal, pine. Doozy of a IIPA, definitely a well rounded keeper.

Pours bright darker golden. Aroma is sweet and citrusy and malty; refreshing even for 3 months old. Flavor of full citrusy malts that may have tamed a bit but balanced with the malts nicely.

Bottle:   Deeper golden, a touch hazy, large pillowy white head, nice lacing.   Aroma reminds me of shop class.   Has an odd aroma of some sort of wood and very minor alcohol.   Smooth, somewhat rich.   A bit more alcohol as it warms.   Big pithiness, with a side of subdued candied citrus peel.   Certainly not one you would think is overly sweet, but it could use some sweetness to balance the pithiness.   Not real bright, but not far off.   Its like a big maltier beer, with some candied citrus peel and pith.   Clean, I will give it that, as all of Dans beers are.   Not as bright or floral as others, but certainly warming and gets the job done... nice boost beer!

Where: A gift from a neighbor, from a store in Wisconsin. How: 12 ounce bottle. Appearance: 90% opaque, melon colored, pasty white huge head. Aroma: Freshly cut fruit, melon rind, berries and citrus. Taste: High fruitiness, with melon, papaya, and orange, biscuit malts. Palate: Alcohol and creamy. Overall: Pretty darn good, and very drinkable.

A dark warm copper color finger of cream head. Smells of floral hop, tomato, a savory malt/wheat, cardboard(but not oxidized). Taste is a spicy floral hop, wheat/rye, a bit grass, a bit veggie. Bitter sustained throughout, a little caramel malt sweetness at the end. A big bold beer with plenty of spicy hop bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
