12oz bottle I picked up from the brewery, pours a mostly clear dark gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is old school, bitter lemons and orange, grapefruit peel, grass, straw, soap. No real hint of malt in the nose. Flavor has a little bit of crackery, but then big with citrus, white orange rind, grapefruit peel, soap, pine. Full and bitter and just a touch sticky.

Thin bright white head of fine bubbles. Light fruity aroma with some roasted malts, band aids? spices and decaying vegetables. Very strange. I have had this before and dont remember the aroma being like this. Color is a slightly hazy medium orange. Roasted grains, pine, dried orange peel and a moderate bitterness. Also a noticable alcohol presence and warming. Lingering soft malts and some chalky spices. A very good IIPA but this bottle may be a little bit off. Will look to update when i drink my other bottle.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2015 Bottle purchased at Historic Casanova in Hudson, WI. Consumed at a pizza farm. Deep golden orange with a hazy tendency. Aroma has pine and citrus notes but heavier on the former. Taste is tropical fruits and sweeter than other imperial IPAs. Orange or tangerine is present. Oily mouthfeel almost reminiscent of a resin. Just a well balanced and tasty effort. This is finally a New Glarus with driving over to WI for...leave the Spotted Cow for the cheeseheads.
