12 oz. bottle. Orangish amber pour with a big thick off white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, toasted malt and some candied orange. Some cotton candy. Flavor is sweet, with a citrus balance. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel. This is interesting. Finishes with some booze. Yes, this is a warmer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Sour, yeasty, mineral-y aroma features lemon, toffee, salt, crabapple, and cigar tobacco scents. Pours a bright, effervescent copper. Mostly clear liquid but with some haze and cloudiness. Large amount of long-lasting, beige head. Produces good lacing. Sweet, floral, fruity taste features a cigar tobacco flavor and a dry finish. Long, dry aftertaste. Full body / thick. Reasonably lively in the palate. Iím normally not a big Scotch ale guy, but I did enjoy this one. 7/4/7/4/15=>3.7

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks, Adam! Cloudy light amber pour, at least lighter than one often gets with the style. Fluffy head, abundant lacing, and a nose thatís appealingly peaty and smokey. Mouthfeel is a touch thin, if Iím being picky. But the taste is very satisfying, hitting the marks with rich toffee and nuts, all backed up by a lovely, sublte smokiness.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark hazy copper with nice white fluffy whitehead. Aroma is very nice sweet caramel with some fruitiness. Medium body with a smooth creamy texture and lots of carbonation. Some hoppy bitterness up front almost tingles on your tongue. Caramel / toffee little roasty and lots of spice almost peppery. And it does have a nice alcohol burn as the name implies. Not really like most scotch ales I have had, but I probably like it better than most Scotch ales Iíve had. Liked this quite a bit and hope it comes back in the future.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle; Pour is murky golden / amber with a frothy / average head in this glass. Retention is average, with some sticky lacing here. The nose is fruit esters, caramel, sweet bread, and some herbals here. This one has an initial bitterness here from the hop profile, sticky sweetness, more fruit esters, caramel, toffee, sweetbreads. This one is really lacking for the scotch ale style, and the name winter warmer as well. Quite disappointed here

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Clearish orange brown with a thick, off-white head. Nose is faint toffee and fruitcake, especially the cherries. Spritzy medium body with some warmth and a tang. Taste is golden raisin, burnt sugar and tobacco. The flavors donít really pop but still rather nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber somewhat clear with a somewhat bright white head. The aroma brings a light grainy sweetness. The flavor brings light subtly sweet malts. It is pretty light for the style not bringing overbearing flavors at all which provides a smoothness that I rather enjoy.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a thin pale amber with 1 finger of fast fading foam. Not sure how this is a scotch ale, seems a bit weak in the flavor profile for that. Itís alright, but not special. The mouth feel and taste are just to thin for what I would expect when I see "winter warmer". Itís no drain pour, but its a bit lack luster.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle: pours a clear deep copper amber with a large froth of clingy off-white head. Has a sweet toasted dark caramel malty nose with a touch of light fruits. Body starts with some fizzy carbonation eventually revealing sweet toasted caramel malts and some toffee before a drier slightly peppery finish. Could have a little more complexity and balance, but is still pretty true to style.
