500mL bottle courtesy of Mr. Pickles. Thanks! Opened 5/10/10. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention and decent lacing. Aroma of toasted grain with a faint hint of nuttiness along with earthy, grassy hops with a bit of a floral note. The taste is toasted grain, caramel, floral and grassy hops and a faintly fruity finish. Well balanced and refreshing. Nice effort once again from New Glarus.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this a few times now and all have been mildly different experiences in terms of how much I like this beer. This beer reminds me a lot of Bitburger Pils which I always buy for the price but also always wish was more fresh. Very bready and malty with on point pilsner hop bitterness. Pretty tasty pils.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Poured crystal-clear straw golden with a fluffy, sticky white head. The aroma picked up fresh grass, earth, and slightly fruity hoppage over bready malts and a pinch of honey.. warm, almost mead-like undertones.. very well presented! The flavor found more of the bread and honey notes on the dark, warm core.. lemon zest, spicy earth, and grassy bitterness around.. some salty notes and lightly sour malted wheat joined in on the finish.. very tasty stuff. Light-medium bodied and crisp on the palate with a great flow to it.. everything came together well.. excellent brew!

Bottle pour gives clear medium yellow color with medium white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma malts, floral. Taste pine, hops, grass, malts. Nice hop finish. Palate carbonated which works for the style.
Well done, nice summer beer but not my style.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Hazy straw body, thin, clumping off-white head. Crisp grassy, floral nose, herbal and hops-dominated, backed by modest biscuity malts. Grassy, rather dry body, biscuity and floral with a bitter finish, a touch spicy, with hints of lemon. Light, crisp, and well-made.

Bottle from a generous trade with CanIHave4Beers. Cheers, Andy! Pours hazy straw yellow. Well carbonated with foamy white head. Nose is crisp and floral and slightly grassy. Similar taste, with a bit more bready malt. Subtle, but quite good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by durhambeer - thanks, Bob! Very glad we got a chance to try the latest Carey creation. Certainly NG knows its lagers. But while this one was certainly attractive - cloudy straw yellow, with vibrant carbonation - and crisply refreshing, it didn’t leave quite the impression that, say, the Bohemian did. Nice full nose, with the hops quite distinctive and floral. Mouthfeel is nice and lively, and there’s a pleasing interplay between the subtle malts, fruit notes, and the crisp grassy finish. Well balanced and well realized, but nothing about the beer really stood out to me.
