COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Proud family traditions of Weyermann Malting and New Glarus Brewing co unite in this classic country lager bred in the Baavarian style. Painstaking efforts created the floor malted Bohemian malts that blend seamlessly and exclusively with German Hallertau Mittlefrueh hops.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal and grain taste is very particular and enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by clean cereal and grain notes with a light vegetable note. This is a though one to judge as it is not a style that I have easy access to. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Refreshing and well brewed with a different malt bill then I am used to with limited use of hops.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear straw color with a medium white head. A nice nose of honey, spicy hops and sweet malts. A very nice flavor; crisp and clean, earthy malts, honey, light spicy hops, easygoing and smooth. A dry apple and bready finish.

Tasted on 12/29/10 from a 500mL bottle purchased at Discount Liquor in Milwaukee. Pours clear light golden with a thick white head that recedes rather quickly to uneven lace. The nose is pale pilsner malt with some anise, and a good amount of spiciness added (I assume) by both the yeast and the noble hops. The flavor starts off with just a hint of sweetness, moving to light anise and noble hops spice with just a hint of bitterness on the back. The body is light with average carbonation and a medium bitter, and sticky finish.

500 ml bottle, courtesy fantomas23. Pours a clear golden color and topped by a small, smooth head of off white foam that leaves minimal spots of lace on the glass. The aroma is clean and fresh with toasted grains, straw, and doughy bread along with a good amount of grassy and peppery hop bitterness. This just smells really refreshing. The flavor follows and shows a great balance between the fresh grains, toasted wheat, and doughy bread sweetness while the floral and grassy hops add some countering bitterness. Light bodied and crisp with moderate carbonation that leads to a nice dry and slightly bitter finish. This is a really refreshing beer and a great pilsener. I could easily drink this stuff all the time.

Aroma:A little sulphur, some flowery hops, and some honey in the aroma. Appearance:Light gold, very clear, creamy head. The head has medium retention. Taste:Crisp flavors on the foretaste with subdued noble hop bitterness. Honey on the aftertaste. Palate:Medium-light body, lots of carbonation. Overall:For a pilsner, this one is very pleasant. It’s pretty true to style, except for being a little sweeter than normal. The sweetness is not cloying, so this beer is certainly sessionable.

50cl traded bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a medium foamy white head and chunky lacing. Nice carbonation too. Classic lager aroma with just enough German hops. Fresh, clean taste. Maybe a touch lighter than expected but still very nice and definitely true to form.

12/1/10. Bomber courtesy cbfobes! Smells of hay, fresh cut apples, green grass, and pie spices. Sweet malty flavor with a hint of caramel, fruitiness, and spicy hops. Nice!
