Commercial Description:
Inspired by the Trappist brewers of Belgium, our heavyweight Quadruple tips the O.G. scales at 25 degrees P. Master Brewer, Daniel Carey, sourced the Brett yeast that boldly frames this refined and complex strong ale. First coddled in our Oak lager tanks and then slowly matured in bourbon barrels. This is a bold beer that sips like a refined cordial of nutmeg, dried cherries and vanilla. Perfect for lying down or sipping by the fire tonight. http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/beers/unplugged belgian quad.html

Bottle courtesy of JB185. Thanks man! Pours orange reddish with a medium lived offwhite head. Smell is belgian yeast and malt. Taste is oxidized tart metalliciness at first but then very sweet. Not as dark of a fruity flavor as expected. Medium body, normal carbonation and cloyingly sweet overall. Did not enjoy this, but am glad to have tried it.

Bottle [Courtesy of hopscotch, thanks buddy for an excellent trade] Average light fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Somewhat clear amber color. Quite explosive Quart notes with the classic Belgian yeast-dried fruit-heavy sweet malty notes. Also comes alcohol that gives it this vinous feel. Over the palate came what could appear like mild spice and a hint of bitterness. Full bodied with an average carbonation. Heavy sweet flavor with light acidic and bitterness. Lingering dried fruity and vinous lasting finish.

Bottle shared by Hophead22. Pours a clear reddish orange with no head. Aroma is sour and funky with some caramel and a touch of barnyard and booze. Flavor is very sweet. I’m getting alot of honey and some horseblanket, but it’s not as sour as the aroma suggests. Finishes with a slight wine like dryness. Medium to full bodied with almost no carbonation.

12oz bottle shared with DuffManSW and mspindler. Light copper pour with very little head. Funky tart aroma. Sweet and a little dry, with a little funky aftertaste, very intersting.
