howie (531), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA Jul 21, 2008 Updated: Aug 18, 2008 Interesting and very refreshing beer! Clean, tart, dry flavors. Lemony, peachy, dry white winey. Can’t speak to the stylishness as it’s the first Berliner Weiss I’ve ever had. If it was cheaper I’d like to keep some around as a lawnmower beer.
StFun (367), Indiana, USA Dec 2, 2008 Bottled shared by Sprinkle. Very nice Weiss. Pours a solid yellow, with a perfect head. Looks like how the macros look in the commercials. Texture is thick, but not overly so, and finishes dry and clean. Flavor is slight smokey, with a nice burst of yeast. Lots of fruit and fizz going on as well. Nice tartish afterbite. This one is great. WisconsinBeer (361), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color, with large carbonation bubbles emanating up from the bottom. Almost no head to speak of. Flavor is light and tart, has a lot of champagne qualities and some fruity undertones. Some notes of wheat as well. Very lively on the palate, reminds me a bit of grape flavored fizzy candy. Granted, I’ll probably only get to drink the bottles that I bought, but from the first bottle to the last it has grown a bit on me. It’s a nice little refresher. nuplastikk (509), USA Nov 28, 2008 12oz bottle. Hazy golden-yellow color. Farmhouse lemony citrus aroma. Big tartness hits you hard and sticks with you. Some solid wheat characteristics is there as well. Very well carbonated for the style, fizzy and effervescent. The grapes add to the fruity taste. This is really sour stuff, maybe not as refined as some Belgian classics, but a great beer nonetheless. A must try for sour-freaks. ratman197 (2478), Arvada, Colorado, USA Nov 26, 2008 Bottle poured a hazy gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of mint, sour apple and light straw. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a tart finish. Flavors of sour apple, lemon, light mint, light straw and light grape with a crisp lingering tart finish. Hophead22 (359), Redlands, California, USA Nov 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Pale yellow/gold pour with a fluffy white head. Slightly spicy aroma, nice malt profile. Dry, sour flavor, spicy as well. Pretty good beer.
