sersdf (889), chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 30, 2008 farty hops. super saazish. pretty lagerish. i’ve had this a few times and its pretty consistent. clean, lingering bitterness. dry. solid all around. ChainGangGuy (1721), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Nov 29, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, light orange-gold body capped by a small, white head.
Smell: Spicy, lightly herbal Saaz hop scent above a soft honeyed maltiness and minor yeast note.
Taste: The malts deliver hints of dough and grain alongside a delicate honeyish sweetness. Quick flash of fruitiness. Tiny pinch of yeast. You get a nick kick of Saaz hop spiciness and bitterness. The malts bounce back, providing a final touch of sweetness to counter the bitterness in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A very good, very well crafted Bohemian Pils. It’s always nice when a brewery isn’t simply foisting a dumpy pale lager with a "pilsner" title slapped onto it on craft brew drinkers. Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 29, 2008 Bottle shared by shigadeyo.
Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing.
Moderate grainy citrus aroma.
Medium body with a soft carbonation.
Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectation where met. badgerben (3231), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Nov 28, 2008 Clear gold color with a thin head. Aroma and taste are pretty much the same... Munich and caramel malts, followed up by a floral hop finish. Body finishes quite dry. Solid. bookman10 (20), Osseo, Minnesota, USA Nov 28, 2008 I was a bit disappointed by this one. Not very distinguished or what I would normaly expect from this brewery. Good flavor, nothing special.
