COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sublimely elegant this toffee toned bock is rich with a blend of Wisconsin and German barley malts. Over four months of resting in oak bourbon barrels gives this beer a wonderfully smooth body that will improve and mellow with age. Should you choose to enjoy this classic today, you can expect a treasure of vanilla, oak and carmel notes to be bolstered by hops from France, Slovenia and Germany. Wild Brett yeast sings in harmony to the tune of Bock. 20 degrees Plato OG makes this bourbon barrel a masterwork to remember.

Dense vermillion, quick yellowhite head. Aroma almost suggest this was aged in wine barrels, with a vinous funkiness that dominates. Yes, tart grapes atop alcohol atop sweet & sour caramel. Flavor is exactly the same, no surprises. Wine and wood, soured caramel malt, mild ABV. Flat-bodied with a weird fizz. Thought this would have held up for a while. Seems like it didn’t. ~~~~~~~~~~ In my cellar for an unknown amount of time, probably a couple years. From Gene... or maybe Carl. Or Dale. Or that Scott guy.

Bottle courtesy of Paul at his place for some football. Pours a hazy reddish with no head. Aroma is fruit and oxidation. Mouthfeel is light with notes of sweet fruit, light oak and maybe a hint of bourbon.

Bottle thanks to JK! Caramel colored pour, small ring of carbonation and a nice toffee bourbon aroma/flavor really solid and holding up well for being a 6 year old beer.

Shared at RBSG - big malty bourbon nose, hazy brown appearance. Sugary, sweet and some barrel character. Not much left on this one though.

12oz bottle, shared by Jason. Thanks! Pours a cloudy, orangish brown color with little to no head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, cherry maybe. Medium to heavy on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bourbon, vanilla, lots of oak, caramel, really smooth, the only drawback is there’s a little cardboard oxidation, some raisin, with a light oaky finish that lingers for a while. Held up well for six years. Very glad I got to try this.

Finally decided to drink this since I have had it in the refrig. for a for a least 5 years. pours a nice med dark honey with a light tan head that didn’t last. aroma alcohol, toffee, dark cherries, good bourbon, oak, vanilla. flavor was surprised from the sweetness up front, than came that nice bourbon and cherries, hops and some malt. I wish I had more of this
