COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A few times a year, we will cut Dan loose to brew whatever he chooses, uncensored, uncut, unplugged. Always handcrafted, this beer is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. A complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and cherries. Unlined Oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beaten path.

2010 vintage - 5.5% (separate entry)
You can tell the vintages apart as the 2010 bottles have the © symbol to the left of the UNPLUGGED banner while the 2006 does not.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, very dark amber with very minimal head. Aroma is sweet and sour. Cinnamon, spice and green apple. Taste is medium sour. Oak, vanilla, red berries and green apple. Light bodied with a slick texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I’ll enjoy drinking this one again.

Sour fruity aroma with a hint of yeast. Pours a ruby red with white quickly fading head. Fruity (apple and citrus) sourness with enough sweet to balance it. Very refreshing character.

Bottle. Lactic cherry malt aroma. Copper with minimal head. Sweet woody cherry malt flavor. Full body. Pretty sweet - like a soured down version of their Belgian Red.

Hazy orange - amber beer, residual white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. Mildly tart and generic fruits. A lttle sweet and sour. Finishes dry. A pleasantly fruity tart beer.

This sour must be a blend because there is plenty of sweetness that almost overpowers the tartness of the beer. It’s full of spice, a touch of smoke, vanilla, and a creamy mouthfeel. I’m not sure I like it. It’s good but I think it’s a bit sweet for me. There is something here, it really could be wonderful, but like I said, too much sweetness for me.

12 ounce bottle pour. Christmas gift from the Wisconsin side. This is very much in line with the Serendipity and other "tart" beers.
