Commercial Description:
A Complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and whole cherries. Unlined oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beathen path.

This beer poured a murky brown appearance with a moderate sized head. The flavor contained some nutmeg, lots of sour cherries, and a woody presence. The flavor was somewhat sour with more cherries, some citrus notes, and oak. A nicely done sour ale!

Thanks to Biggcb for giving me the chance to try this beer! Poured a muddy reddish brown into the glass with a small cream head that quickly diminished. Smelled really nice. Lots of wood, and sour cherries. Taste was same as the smell with wood and sour cherries as well as some vanilla, spice, all fading into a nice tart finish. This was very good and kept getting better as it warmed. The mouthfeel was also big and thick, which I didn’t mind. Please make this again Daniel Carey!

Another special beer provided by aspidites. Pours a dark red with a thin head. Aroma of slightly sour cherries, peanuts, dust a little oak and vanilla. The flavor is not too sour, just some dull cherry flavor, more peanuts, more dust. The oak might have just started taking over, or it could have been over the hill. Either way, of all the sours I tried today, this was not the best. I bet this was great when fresher.

Pours deep red with a fine white head. Strong Coconut and oak aroma. Flavor is cherries and coconut, vanilla, and oak flavors. Pretty crazy!

Opaque red with a slight head, even after a moderately rough pour. Outstanding aroma of cherries, vanilla, maybe a touch of oak. This explodes in your mouth. Sourness dominates the flavor but not overwhelmingly so. Balanced by a big amount of malt. Cherries, vanilla, & nutmeg... Quite full-bodied. This might be a bit too full-bodied and sweet for sour beer aficionados but I think it’s outstanding. I just wish I could get more!

Hazy brownish red color, very light head. Light cherry/oak/apple/vanilla flavor, excellent finish. Very good stuff.

Thanks to drewbeerme. Murky reddish brown, moderate head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is typical sour cherries, oak, vanilla, but is very fruity with a thick thick malt backbone. There’s a big vanilla sweetness, but there’s a good sour kick too. Rich body for the style, I’m curious what barrels this sat in as it’s definitely got more vanilla than the other sours. Delicious.
