| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Pours a cloudy reddish-brown body with a frothy, cream colored head. The foam sticks around for a good while, leaving a very fine micro-film sheet in its wake. The aroma is based on sweet toasted caramel, but a blend of masterfully intertwined sour notes is the star of the show. Heaps of oak and vanilla compliment that signature New Glarus cherry. Tart apple cider and heavy cream show as well. The flavor is rich and sweet, yet wonderfully sour at the same time. Tart cherry, oak, and vanilla shine. Finishes moderately long, sweet and sour. Medium-full bodied, smooth, and satisfying. This brew is comprised of perfect little subtleties that add up to create a masterpiece. Another awesome brew from New Glarus! gottalottaibu (243), charlotte, North Carolina, USA

It tastes ok but I really am not impressed by it. The bourbon taste really turns me off. Sorry. Magicdave6 (5490), London, Greater London, England

The dominant fruity sour is pleasant. A strong toasted malt aroma with a touch of nutmeg, christmas like spices. Very full bodied, lingers in the mouth, puckering.
