Commercial Description:
A Complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and whole cherries. Unlined oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beathen path.

Secret Santa in July 2006, MIBRomeo. Thanks! Bottle 06. Pours a hazy dark red/brown with a quickly dimminishing head. Quite sweet with a nice sourness. Nutty malt aromas with coconuts, perfume, cherries, wood, citrus and a hint of bubble gum. Also a tiny hint of vanilla and dust. Slightly vinous. Medium to full bodied. Lively carbonation. Long dry and fruity finish.

Bottle (from Ofortuna). Sour milk, cider and musty barnyard aroma. Cloudy orange brown color with small head. Initially a sweet orange/apple/vanilla flavor followed by a glancing flavor of caramel malt, then sour/tart finish. Brilliant.

Thanks KingpinIPA! Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Looks like apple cider. Smells of sour cherries and a bit nutty/woody. Taste is not nearly as sour as anticipated...mostly sour cherry...wine-like. Palate is smooth and dry. Nice beer.

Bottle courtesy after4ever. Thanks! Pours lightly hazy mahogany with a thin but lacy white head. I immediately get hit with a big cherry aroma that seems softly sour. Light body and moderate carbonation. Sour taste of cherries wit a vanilla edge.

Bottle @ Chris O’s, thanks to Harry. Opaque amber with an off white head. Sour, woody fruit nose . Sweet yet sour taste with oak, cherry and yeast hints. Nice mouthfeel, very vinous. Quite a treat.

12-oz., thanks to whoever sent me this! SecretSanta, I think. Pours hazy brown with a thin tan film of head. Big soft sweet cherry tart nose. Fizzy medium-bodied attack with thick creamy and dimensional sour notes. Vanilla is perceptible but certainly not predominant. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle-A hazy murky brown body with a small ring for a head and an aroma of cherries, sour, cinnamon, and malt. Taste of cherries, sourness, almost a bourbon taste, malt, and a dry finish. The sourness and cherries are not overpowering and blend together really well. Nice tasting beer.

This is a nicely flavored beer. The cherries are present, but not overpowering. Smooth. I thought that this would be more sour, but it works very well. I wish I could get some more of this.
