Commercial Description:
A Complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and whole cherries. Unlined oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beathen path.

very bizarre for a flemish...apricot body with a sour and musty old ale aroma (somewhat woody and oak-like)...flavor is sour and musty as well, with hints of lemon herbal tea..this is somewhat of a sweet and sour, watered down, gatorade version of a lambic (if that makes any sense)...interesting beer; one that i would like to sample again

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & GregClow -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy orange-amber with a spare diminishing white head. Lovely aroma of malt, tart fruit, vanilla, brown sugar, oak, smoke and more -- wow, that smells great! Flavour’s no slouch: Tart cherries, sweet malt, oak, yeast and vanilla -- there’s lots going on there and it’s delicious. Good body for the style. Now this is how you do a barrel-aged beer, it’s fantastic!

That sweet lucious tang of pomegranate and sour coconut juice rise from the glass. Lubricious and sassy, with faint pine fusels, nips of higher alcohols, rising warmth and glowing brett. Great Stuff. Lighter on the apple skins and edging more towards acetone, yet with a pleasing grape must edge. Pours a murky ruddy amber, hazed and rimmed with off-white. On the tongue, a potent kick of sweet acidity. Rich, warm and mouth filling with a christmas potpourri of tangled florals and perfumes. Lots of fermenting pale fruits over a lucious creamy malt base. The sour notes and wild funk are beautifully blended into the malt character here. First with the bold flow of oaked farm fields and cheese must, then into a creamy grain of roasted caramel and toasted almonds. Sweet and silky. The out the backdoor with fading hop presence, maybe more than the style typically brings. On the palate, so airy and mystifying with gentle breezes of sweetness and acidity. Not scorching, yet gentle and calm, with a deft use of wildness to make a very peaceful and enjoyable version.

Dark murky color. Smell of brown sugar, spice, cherries, sour apples, oak and vinager. Taste of tart, sour cherries, vanilia, smoke, oak, a touch of whiskey, caramel and a tart, sour bitterness at the end. I like this a lot

Woody, sour flavors with that distinct cherry tang. Many vanilla, malt, and fruit subtleties. Love the sweet and sour character of all of these NG fruit beers.

Pours a murky orange brown Nice spicy nose with hints of peppar, brown sugar, and tart almost chery like fruit. Clove and brown sugar explode with a hint of sour tartness. A slight hint of spicy pepper, barnyard and additional spice. A wonderful beer, but not as sour as I had hoped.
