Commercial Description:
A Complex and intriguing original. The mystery began with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting a rich treasure of malted barley and whole cherries. Unlined oak casks breathe deep vanilla hues and chords of smoke into this sour brown ale. Our Master Brewer has forged a smooth garnet tapestry that defies description. Wander off the beathen path.

12 oz bottle. Murky brown color with off white head that left a bit of lace on the glass. Attractive aroma of fresh cherries and oak. Sweet, sour, and tangy all at once with cherry, white wine, and subdued oak flavors. Not for everyone, but very tasty.

Pours a cloudy brown, like strong iced tea with lemon, and almost no head. Aroma is of sour cherries, like the Cherry Stout. I guess if you’ve got something good, you stick with it... Taste follows the aroma, with a hint of oak at the end.

sample from bottle at the Hampton tasting - This reddish-brown brew has an excellent aroma of oak, malt, fruit, and cherry. All of these elements come through well in the flavor, which is both sweet and tart. Medium bodied and mildly dry in the finish, this is really good.

Thanks KingpinIPA! Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Looks like apple cider. Smells of sour cherries and a bit nutty/woody. Taste is not nearly as sour as anticipated...mostly sour cherry...wine-like. Palate is smooth and dry. Nice beer.

RBSG07. From 33 cL bottle. Pours amber. Aroma is citric, wineous and malty. Flavour is malty sweet and dried fruit beyond raisins. Finish is sweet dried fruit. Very nice.

12 oz bottle. Murky purple brown with a small whitish head. Random lacing. Light cinnamon cherry. Soft, woody cherry at first with a subdued. tang. Gets earthy sour. Raspberry vinegrette and dandelion greens. Minty finish with pits. Sticky, medium body. Like a fruit saison more than a sour. Not as up front as the Red and the Tart. Unique stuff worthy of perusal.

(Bottle, thanks JCapriotti) Pours hazy red. The aroma is of oak wood, vanilla, cherries, raspberries, coconut, fruits, nuts, cheddar cheese and maybe some spices in the background. Light sour flavour with vanilla, berries, apples and vinager. Some orange and grapefruit. Medium bodied. Blursi likes, marsi don´t.

Yummy. Well balanced with a deep cherry, oak, woodsiness. Very good. The aroma is very cherry and oaky. Pours with a slight white head and a dried cherry color. Taste is sweet and smooth cherry and oak and finishes with a sharp, dry oakiness. Very different. It is like the oak replaces the hops. Yeah!
