Our Imperial Saison captured a bold celebratory shout of apricot and peach in a bottle. Both bright and bold this is a lively truly living beer. Bottle conditioned with rare Belgian yeast and soured to illuminate its copper hued body. Ginger and Grains of Paradise promiscuously dance with Styrian Golding hops. Wipe winter from your brow and enjoy now or attempt to resist its siren song and lay down in your cellar.

Bottle thanks to Ofortuna, thanks man! Poured a lightly hazy amber-orange color with a moderate, dense off-white head that slowly receded to a bubbly layer leaving some small spots of lacing. Aroma of fruits (apricot, peach, lemon), a light spiciness (ginger), a honey-touched breadiness, and a soft tart yeastiness. Smooth, moderately sweet, fruity entry with nice hints of peach and apricot that lingers into a lightly tart, lemony middle that is paired with a lightly spicy, honey graham cracker sweetness that follows into the finish where it lingers softly with some light hints of dry hops peaking through, Crisp, lively carbonation that just asks you to drink it. Overall, it isnít really a great example of a saison, as others have pointed out. It is a beer that tastes good and has a lively, inviting palate. I wish I would have drank it sooner, but it was still pretty dang good. Thanks again Ofort.

Bottle from the rotter. Pours a murky reddish-brown with a small off white head. Nose is malt and honey with some paper oxidized notes. Light rose-like esters. Taste is a garbled mess of super high alcohol and sucrose to the point of diabetes. Weird phenolics of mint, followed by a chest burning alcohol. Looks like this one didnít hold up well if it was ever that good at all. Gross

"mostly yeast, fruit (apricot, peach) and a little funk in the aroma. bright orange with big fluffy white head. well carbonated and lively. flavors fruity as well, with a little tang to it. reminded me more of a BSA than any saison. a touch of warming alcohol lingers. less tart, getting lemony sour as it warms. overall nice n unique, maybe a little too much going on...like the oaked sour porter. good, not great."

Bottle from Bu11zeye. Pours amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma is a little cooked caramel. With fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is a bit cooked caramel and some lightly sour fruit. Not quite dry. Malt tends to obscure a bit of earthiness. May be over age. Comes out finally like sucking a peach pit.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours amber with an attractive beige head and a fruity aroma. There is also a fermented peach flavor with some strange spice and esters. Unique.

12oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing... Probably a 4 year old bottle. Yeah, itís tasting off... A bit of oxidization here up front. This is likely my only chance to try this, so may as well rate... Clear red orange color. Thin off-white head. Loose bits of lace. Lots of dark fruit, raisin in the nose. Raspberry preserves, fig. Get some of the apricot in the smell. Some oxidization up front, but that fades away pretty quickly, palate gets accustomed to it. Thereís some good mild sour taste, lightly spicy, moderate bitter, light sweet taste. Dark fruit in the flavor, some interesting belgian yeast / spice character. Finishes with a sort of musty dry kind of papery flavor, but it doesnít ruin the beer. Thereís a lot to appreciate here still. Itís a very unique, interesting saison, that much is very clear. Just a light nice bit of heat on the back end. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Looking past the oxidization... Itís pretty solid, interesting stuff. A unique, enjoyable experience. Thanks, Brad, for the chance to try this.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a sample glass. Pours translucent tawny with small off-white head. Taste is tart with some ginger. Not my thing.

More tart than most saisons, sweet smell, orange-brown in color. Really enjoyed this as a beer buts its probably not the best example of a saison. Thanks to madvike for this one.
