Nice flavor of cherry with some yeast at the finish. Very easy to drink. A lot like wine but lacks the dry bite at the finish. weitz15 (67), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Every bit what it claims to be. Cranberry-color pour, red cream head. The flavor is full of cherries, with some bite at the end, much like wine. This is the marriage between beer and wine, after all. This brew is more like wine, however, This is not a beer I would drink more than once in a great while, but it is definitely a good variation to the usual brew. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 30, 2009 750ml bottle. This one pours a deep red color. Quite a bit of carbonation in this one. Taste is of cherries all around. This one reminded me of a champagne in a way with the amount of carbonation present. Pretty good stuff. nuplastikk (1171), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 29, 2009 750ml bottle. Deep dark cherry red color. Nice head that fades out after a minute or so. Light faint cherry pie aroma. This has some of the most solid dark cherry flavors of any beer I’ve ever had. Practically cherry juice with a slight bitter edge. Absolutely delicious, the kind of beer I can sip on all day. On a side note, I think its funny that a beer like this is so revered and highly rated whereas Lindemans and other sweet Lambics get bashed and dismissed as non-authentic. tpd975 (95), Riverview, Florida, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 29, 2009 A: Pours a nice reddish brown kind of color. Nice bubbles rising to the top. Can’t wait to taste.
S: The definition of cherry. Ton of sweet cherry aroma. There is a malty biscutiy aroma in the background, but man this smells like I cracked open a jar of cherries.
T: 5* no doubt about it. Huge cherry flavor like I have tasted in no other brew. There is some cinnamon in there as well. God I love cherry pie but would trade the best one on earth for another bottle of this beer. There is some cinnamon in the background, and finishes with a bit of tartness.
M: Perfect. Medium to light bodied and refreshing. I shared this bottle with 3 others and to be honest I wish I had saved it all to myself.
D: The most drinkable beer ever. I would drink it until they scraped me off the floor. I may move to Wisconsin just to have a steady supply of this beer.

Faded red head that fades. Nose is fully of cherry, like a homemade cherry pie filling. Flavors are full of the cherry filling too. Feel is well carbonated, syrupy. Wonderful flavors in this beer but drink in small amounts to avoid a stomach ache. merlin48 (511), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Pours a ruby body with a small pinkish head that leaves minimal wispy lace. Aroma of fresh cherries and a hint of caramel. Taste is fresh cherries, tart and sweet. A hint of caramel underneath. A bit of oak emerges as it warms. Clean and smooth, nothing cloying or artificial here. Amazing that a fruit beer could be so tasty and well crafted. madvike (314), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Pours ruby red with a small, quickly dissapating head. I love smelling this beer and the sweet and tart cherry smell. The taste is pretty much the same, with a little grain in the background to balance it out. It’s never cloying, and the cherries just linger on the tongue and the back of the throat. It’s like drinking dessert, but the perfect balance means you won’t get sick of it after a small glass. There’s a pleasant, fizzy carbonation--just enough to tickle the mouth a bit.
