Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle thanks to Klimaet! Pours a hazy, deep red. Big pink head. Aroma has tons of cherry, lots of earthy yeast, acid, slight vinegar, slight sulfur. Lemon, red apples. Taste is super fruity, acidic, citric, sweet, juicy, lots of cherry, candy. Nice and drinkable. Average carb and an oily, juicy body. Tasty! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red appearance with some lacing when poured in a mug. Cherry scent, but not much else. Very bubbly and bright/tart cherry taste. No bitter aftertaste.

Shared from a bomber bottle at Mike C-Z’s 40th birthday party, into a stemmed snifter glass, thanks Timothy! Wow. Wow. Wow. This is one of those rare times when a beer is even more delicious than its extremely high reputation prepared me for. Bright reddish amber colour with sudsy pinkish foam, long-lasting with beautiful Belgian lace. Malty sweet, like beer candy, with red cherry tartness but in a smooth way, nothing aggressive or piercing as is often the case with black cherry beers. No noticeable hops, but enough to prevent a cloying sweetness. Hint of pepper and clove from the ale fermentation. Light body, strong carbonation, spritzy and Champagne-like, lingering sweet tart fruity aftertastes. Simple, as in not overly complex, but man oh man, it is exactly what you’d expect from the deScription, but absolutely mesmerizingly deliciously so. Wow.

Where: Neighbor brought back a variety from a trip home to Wisconsin, forever grateful. How: 750 ml bottle, shared at a neighborhood tasting. Appearance: Pours a deep red with white head, some lacing left. Aroma: Sweet cherries and other fruity notes, tart. Taste: Tart cherries is the dominate flavor, pretty sweet but balanced. Palate: Light to medium bodied with high carbonation, very fizzy. Overall: Spectacular again.

I have to give this a perfect score. Gorgeous deep amber color. Smells of fresh baked cherry pie, flowers, and a hint of vinegar. Very sweet, but with a nice balancing sourness. No evident hop flavor. Tastes of cherries, vinegar, bit of malt. Just an exceptional beer, easily the best fruit beer I’ve ever had. Hunt this one down!

Firm dark reddy maroon and a busy looking murk. Proper gummy cherry nose, Frisky and vibrant. Initial taste is rusty woody cheery, builds in sweetness and smooth tartness. Decent carbonation and rich vibrant mouthfeel. Finishes strongly with the earthy cheery, cooling tart linger. Solid although fairly spicy on the last murky pours.

Bottle thanks to Mike. Reddish brown with off white head. Intense cherry aroma, like cherry drops, not much else just cherry. Taste is similar, intense cherry. I’m a massive fan of cherry. This is delicious
