Clear medium to dark orange red color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white red / orange head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy overriped cherry, cherry, mazipan, red wine / grape notes. Flavor is light heavy moderate sweet and moderate acidic with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090411]

An unclear red beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma contains notes of marcipan and cherries. While the flavor contains notes powerful notes of fruit and cherries.

RBSG07. Pours red. Aroma is red with a light brown head. Aroma is cherry fruity. Flavour is sweet and sour fruity at once. Very nice finish of sweet- and bitterness. Candy!

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 (Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, reddish with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of sweet cherries and marzipan. Medium body with rich, sweet cherries - thick and almost like cherry sauce. Extremely fruity but definitely needs something to balance the extreme sweetness. Not a bad fruit beer at all, but I simply don’t understand the high ratings on this one. So many much better New Glarus beers around. 100507

Bottled (thanks heemer77). Hazy reddish orange colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is lots of cherrykernels. Flavour is very nice of cherrykernels as well as some quite sour notes. Yet at the same time very wellbalanced and refreshing thing.

Reddish brown. Sweet, full bodied, fresh aroma of sourish cherries, complex. Extremely tasty!

Cloyingly sweet aroma with notes of cherries and marzipan.
Very sweet flavour of cherries and marzipan with light acidic notes.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish color with a small fast disappearing off-white head. Has a fruity and a little tart cherry aroma with almondy nutty hints. Smooth deep and slightly tart cherry flavor with lots of the flavor comming from the cherry pits, giving it a nice nutty flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty cherry finish. with a long aftertaste of cherrry pits. A very nice one.

Bottle @ Blindtasting, Odense, July 2011. Pours unclear red with a small creamy head. Sweet nose of fresh cherries and a bit of almond , vanilla and marzipan. Sweet - not sickening but still a bit too much and one-sided.

Bottle. Dark red/brown colour. Aroma of cherries/cherry sauce. Quite sweet, slightly acidic. Acidity burns at the back of my throat.
