Poured from a Bomber bottle into a tulip glass. The body of this beer is red with light red or pink along the outside of the glass. It leaves behind great lacing. It smells of fresh tart cherris. The taste of this beer is of tart cherries with a seetness through the whole taste. Not overly sweet so you are easily able to finish off the bottle. Overall this beer is delicious. If you are a fan of cherries you cant deny that this beer is king.

Bottle was a gift. Pours a deep red with a full white head. Wow, what cherry aroma and a flavor to match. Tart Montmorency cherries dominate; it doesn’t even taste like a beer. Awesome.

This is a great beer. Cherries everywhere. Maybe not quite to traditional style as it could be, but it is a awesome beer.

Pour was deep red, not quite opaque. Small amount of sediment. Small pink head. Flavor is sweet cherry, but not overbearing. Massive cherry aroma. Lots of carbonation. Smooth, no heavy aftertaste. Oak flavor noticeable. Becomes more tart/sour as you drink it. Love it! Good stuff.

I am not a usual fruit beer drinker, but this stuff is realllllllly good. Cherry flavor is tart, like cherry pie, not too sweet like cough syrup would taste. Not bitter, great aroma and color. Good head, not much lacing. Excellent finish. Give one to your wife to hold, and drink it when no-ones looking.

I’m glad I’m lucky enough to live in Wisconsin where this amazing fruit beer flows like water and can be had even at gas stations! Belgian Red pours a murky bright red and the cherry aroma hits you like a truck fresh from the orchard. Awesome. This is thick, like an imperial stout almost, but the taste is straight sour cherries with some malt thrown in for good measure. Tastes like a cherry pie. It only gets better as it warms. Aftertaste is the same as the first swallow, pure cherry pie. Best consumed in small doses, however, this is some rich beer that might lead to gut-rot if you’re not careful. The only thing I sort of dislike about it is the often overly fizzy carbonation, but I can get over it pretty quickly. New Glarus rocks!

Bottle generously provided from MaxxDaddy - What a treat!! Finnally got around to cap this baby in good coompany and everything - including the company - suddenly got much better. Not much to look at being murky brown redish with no head, but the flavour of cherries got my attention and the fantastic flavour of aromatic cherries, the sweet malt and perfect tartness to balance the palate made Kris a happy boy! I want more....

This beer completely blows me away every time I try it. It doesn’t score near perfect in my books based on depth of complexity necessarily, but more so for the sheer pleasure I get from every sip. I actually can’t get enough of this beer. When poured out, it possesses a deep, vibrant ruby color that makes you smell cherries before you even put your nose to the glass. A rocky, billowing head sits atop this beer like a crown and follows it fully the whole way to the bottom. On the nose, the beer gushes forth with wave after wave of deep, juicy cherry. The fruit and the malts together give the cherries a sort of warm, bready character in the nose and remind me of someone leaving a freshly baked cherry pie out to cool on the windowsill. On the palate, the beer is fresh and creamy, with a winelike finesse to it that’s almost like a vinaigrette. The cherries come in again in a gooey, warm, malty way that’s not too rich or too cloying. The winelike, slightly sour quality really makes itself known and works perfectly with the dark cherry character. A perfect, lively carbonation just makes this ultimate beer harmony. Overall, this is one of the classiest beers I have ever had. I always wish it were easier to find so I could drink it all the time.

Pours muddy brown in color with hints of red and orange. Very murky and opaque. Mmm, smells like a freshly baked cherry pie. Damn, I can almost smell the crust too. Sweet cherry jam and lemon/green apple tartness aromas in there too. Taste is like a sweet cherry-apple cider with a tart finish. Effervescent-tingling on the tongue, carbonated like a sparkling wine. High points for uniqueness and although I couldn’t drink many of these back to back for the fruitiness, this beer is quite the experience and and an incredible fruit beer.
