4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a strawberry/ maraschino cherry red with a frothy white head with some awesome champagne like bubbles. Smells like bubbalicious gum, cherry syrup, and cake batter. Tastes like a cherry slurpee and heaven. I love this beer. Thanks to Dasilky1 for sharing this bottle and to arjoseph for introducing me to it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Holy cow, this is dessert not beer. Like drinking a slice of cherry pie. The spice is really nice and starts to emerge after that first slam of cherry and sweet, but is just overwhelmed. Touch of cola. Hint of malt, but again overpowered by sweet cherries. Nice carbonation, beautiful color. Finish dries out a tad and some sour finally gets a chance to show itself. Very enjoyable but way too sweet for my tastes these days. Reminds me a bit of Quelque Chose but not as complex. Afraid the sweetness just makes this one not very drinkable for me.
Thanks to Walt for finally sending this long awaited brew my way.

Poured deep, dark, rich red with a dark pink bubbly head. Smelled of sweet cherries, with a hint of oak. The flovor was slighlty syrupy sweet cherries, and more cherries and more cherries. A big bold flavor that sends you for more. We love to break atasting up with this beer to help clean the palate during a tasting.

Love this beer!!! Taste like I’m drinking cherry pie. Low carbonation, but thats fine with this. Nose is nice but could have a little more. In your mouth the HUGE cherry taste explodes in your mouth, a tad sweet then this tartness comes in a cleans it up with long lingering finish.

Waxed top bottle pours pinkish red. Aroma of cherries. Sweet, moderately tart and of course loads of cherry flavor. Sparkling and light. Spectacular!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Original review date 5/3/2008...from 750 into Riedel Extreme Burgundy/Pinot Noir glass.
Pours dark cider/caramel color with ample natural cherry hue. Carbonation cloys to bowl of glass; head very thin.
Perfumy, natural cherry essence brings the dominant scent here - slight tangy yeast and malt. Just enough citrus funk.
This is a treat - understated yet plentiful carbonation delivers a powerful cherry and natural sugar hammer with powerful force. Slight saltiness from carbonation. Nice backbone of yeast, slight citrus and braised malt.
This delivers much more of a hearty yet mellow (almost boiled? not a bad thing) mouthfeel. A slight salty tinge from the carbonation hits the back of the mouth with little aftertaste from a long and deep finish. Almost as if there’s a significant tannin profile from the cherry skins as would be expected in wine. Gets stronger and more enjoyable with warmth.
This is a pleasure to savor but drinks much easier than other offerings crafted at this level of excellence. Great stuff.

Medium body and carbonation, full of cherries and lightly sweet malts. Very berry fruity flavor with some mild tartness.

Wow. Beautiful red color. Highly carbonated, smells and tastes just like cherry pie- seriously. it really does. It’s like the best cherry soda you ever tasted with an alcohol content to boot.

Deep red in color yet still brite. Froathy red head, just the way I like em. The aroma is like a fresh cherry pie. I can almost smell the crust. The flavor seems to have a cinnamon like character that takes away from the sweetness of the cherries and adds to the pleasure of the malt. Sour tart and dry in the finish. A true delite.
