Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

It had been a few years since I last had this beer. Shared one with some friends...It did not disappoint. Beautiful nose with the perfect melding of the cherries. Wonderful

Easily one of America’s finest beers. There are a million things going on in the flavor of this one. Truly a joy to behold in a champagne glass.

Wonderful copper/cherry color. Nice sour ale base with a hint of cherry to balance it all out. Great beer

Dull, hazy, dark amber appearance with minimal, off-white head. Foam quickly dissipates leaving ragged lacing. No malt, hops or yeast aroma to speak of, only a nice cherry smell. Taste is light sweetness, slightly sour, tart, and a little salty. A well built beer, but not exactly balanced as the only flavor is cherry. A great representation of the fruit beer style, with the intended cherry dominance. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and average carbonation. The finish is long, and maintains the cherry flavor with a little wheat. A standout beer that met my expectations, and I would recommend to a friend.

Smells like cherry pie filling. Deep red color with a pinkish head. Tastes very sweet, cherry, tart, It’s what I’d imagine you would get if you mixed half & half Belgian blonde ale plus a berry wine cooler with a large glob of pie filling. Not really my thing.

What can I say? This beer is in it’s own class. It has the fruit of a lambic laid over the rich maltiness and yeastiness of a classic belgian style ale. I even detect a bit of bitter hops to balance the cherry sweet & sour notes. This is probably the best beer brewed in Wisconsin and rivals finest from Belgium, the UK or Michigan. If I could reimagine it to my own perfection it would have a tad more alcohol kick near the finish, but that’s quibbling with perfection.

Poured a little cloudy, but upon investigation this is normal. Monster cherry flavor explosion. Quite tart but managable. This is a very unique and well done fruit beer.

This beer pushes the envelope for fruit beers right to the edge. Pours cloudy red with red-ish head. The aroma is nice but not as potent as the first taste which is a stunner. Tart cherries right up front and center. Mellows a bit and finishes strong. Had this for breakfast one morning after a baseball weekend in Milwaukee. Nice way to start the day(even though a bit decadent).
