Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle thanks to Rando7. Pours a dark red with strawberry head. Nose is Luden’s Cherry cough drops, cherries and cream. Taste is pure cherry bliss. Nice full mouth feel. Absolutely delicious.

750 ml bottle poured a hazy maroon with a small diminishing ruddy pink head. Aromas of pie cherries, hint of lemon and wheat. Palate was medium bodied and tart. Flavors of our pie cherries, light wheat and a bit of lemon with a dry tart lingering cherry finish.

cloudy dark red, smooth light brownish head. Strong aroma of cherries, sweet marcipan, flavor is cherries, sour citrussy tinge that works extremely well, like an ice cider, quite sweet in general but the citric touch makes it very good.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 750 ml bottle with wax sealer-thanks to the transport from Rutgers 6 months ago to Wisconsin and his girlfriend for sharing. Aroma is cherry, taste follows, OK carbonation, good body, a bit of hops, good finish. A bit like a good cherry pie meets a nice beer. Nice taste. 3.4. 110806--thanks Bigmmartin. 3.8

Bottle. [thank you, madmitch76]
Pours lightly muddy deep red with a fine, staying, frothy, off-white to pink head. Aroma has lots of marzipan, fresh cherries, red apples, light tartness, tangerine, caramel malts. Medium carbonation, fine lightly prickly carbonation. Flavour is quite sweet, cherries are fresh and quite prominent. Sweet, but not cloying. Lovley spicy note with pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. Quite dry in the finish with the marzipan shining through. Quite lovely and drinkable, but a top 50 beer? Not really.

Red cherry coloured ale with a nice rose head. Wild cherry aroma, like cheesecake, with cinnamon notes. Sweet cherry pie or cherry covered cheesecake, cinnamon, lactic acid notes. Deep cherryish body, rich, smooth, with nice acidity. A wonderful cherry pie. Tasted at Institut’s gambrinale, Outaouais, Oct. 28 2005. Bought from Restant du Mondial.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2008 75 cl bottle. Maraschino cherries aroma with mint. Sweet, sugary, almost syrupy cherry flavor. Marzipan. Sweet indeed, but somewhat vinous and liquor-like. Some lemony sourness. A bit too sweet, but actually quite nice.

Bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Poured into a flute. Cherry red with a medium and fast dissipating head. Aroma is strong candied cherry with a background of yeast. As others have said, this is like drinking a cherry pie. Flavor is intense. Definitely a sipping beer. Very nice.

Bottled: Dusty red coloured. Light beige head with a red gleam. Aroma is cherries, marzipan, berries and malt. Sweetness, fruit, some sourness and malt in the flaovur. Very good balance in the sweetness. Ends on a dry and light acidic note. Refreshing. Thanks for this gem, CaptainCougar.

Bottle obtained via trade with moejuck. Pours hazy, muddy amber and burnt orange with a small and quickly dissipating fizzy white head. Aroma is sour lemon and cherry, cherry skin, earthy yeast, straw malt, other fruit (apple, apricot, pineapple) and butter. Initially very sweet cherry syrup and then the tartness rescues you from it taking your mouth to the other extreme and waking all saliva glands at once with a puckering lemon zing. Sweet malt and trace yeast, cherry skins and buttered bread. Medium bodied and dry palate. Not a Top 50 in my ever so humble opinion.
