Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle thanks to nflmvp, thanks Steve! Aroma of cherries, dark ripe fruits, and belgian yeast. Deep burgundy red, almost purple hue with a smaller off-white head that almost fully diminished and left no lace. Flavor is sticky sweet with cherries, dark ripe fruit, musty yeast, and roast malt. A little bitter and earthy on the finish. Palate is medium bodied and oily soft. Quite refreshing and crisp. A very good brew that’s refreshing and intense. Good mouth feel and sticky sweet cherry flavor. Top notch.

Brewed with Montmorency Cherries (purportedly a pound of whole cherries per bottle), locally grown wheat, and Hallertau hops, the beer is then left to mature in 12 ft. tall oak tanks. Okay, great, let’s get to it. Murky ruby-hue capped by a flamingo-pink head appearance and harbors an aroma reeking of unabashed cherrynicity, there’s nothing fake or artificial about this beer. With a taste reminiscent of fruit leather, the flavor is certainly aggressive in it’s sheer determination to cram that pound of cherries down your damn throat. It deftly walks the fine line between sweet and tart and carries with it a jolt of juicy, cheek-pinching acidity. The malted wheat and hops definitely take a backseat to the deep, strong cherry fruitiness. God, I hope you like cherries. The high level of carbonation in the beer does well to bring a much-needed levity to what otherwise would be a thick, syrupy body. You do like cherries, right? Overall, a deliciously unique beverage, though I suspect some may be left angrily shouting the catchphrase "Where’s the Beer?"

Thanks to Ross or Craig I think they brought it to the Spring(ish) tasting in Knoxville. A hard cherry aroma from a deep rich red pour. A very cherry, cherry flavor that was just incredible. Anyone who says they don’t like fruit beers should try this one. Carbonation was excellent. I can’t say enough about it. It is the wifes favorite craft beer now.

Bottle at Toms Ultimate Glasgow Tasting: Poured a ruby red with a white head. The aroma was sweet fresh cherries and fruit. The taste is amazing seemed as if I was biting into a fresh cherries with those juices slashing on my palate. The finish had just enough bitterness to keep it balanced for me. Couldn’t choose a better beer to rate for 1000 or a better event to do it!

orangish ruby color, small pinkish white head. smells like sour cherry pie filling, pomegranate. Tastes a bit woody and like pomegranate (plus seeds), but mostly like cherry pie (with spices, crust, sugar, etc) with a nice sour finish. Quite refreshing!

(Bottle) Pours a hazy reddish brown color with very little head. Sweet aroma, with an initial juicy character. Excellent blend between a sweet cherry flavor, and a sour aftertaste. It’s amazing how much this beer tastes like cherries. All in all, a great beer!

Again thanks to my brother Chris. And like the Raspberry Tart well worth the wait. Dominant cherry aroma. Excellent sour cherry flavor that was the perfect balance of fruitiness and sourness. You could drink this forever. A must try!

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours orange\brown with a white head. Aroma of cherries, malt, and wood. Flavor is sweet, cherry-like, slight wood flavor with carbonation and a slight tart finish.
