Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle thanks to allendodd. Pours dark red with minimal head. Aroma is strong cherry/fruit with a bit of a candy sweetness. Flavor is all cherry, but complex as indicated by the label. Slight tartness, dry finish. Excellent beer.

Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle. Pours reddish-orange with a white head. Aroma is unmistakable, lots of sugar, cherries and something that reminds me of red wine. The flavor is more cherries, with a ton of sweetness. This tastes like cherry filling inside of a fried pie. Mouthfeel is syrupy and carbonation is medium-low. Easily the best fruit beer I have ever sampled.

Bottle, pours a clear, light red body with a light pink foam head. Aroma of tart cherry and wheat. Flavor is mainly cherry with a hint of apple. There is a nice balance of tart and sour on the palate. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice light carbonation. Tart finish.

Hint of cherry with a smooth taste that ends with a tart kick to it, liked it.

750 ml bottle to ring in 2010. Pours a gorgeous lightly hazy red with brown tint and a small white froth. Oh my aroma is so beautifully cherry with amazing wheat, just makes me feel like I am in nature. So sweet and lightly tart, so damn fresh. Flavor starts cherry, sweet but then getting tart enough to make my cheeks get a little pucker. Really nice tartness, perfect for the style, makes me dream of fruit fields. So refreshing and still sweet enough to make it so. The cherry flavors continue through the swallow and linger perfectly. Perfect medium body that is exactly what I want for the style with a tingling fizzy carbonation. Mmmmmm I could drink this all day, especially in warmer weather

Bottle was a gift. Pours a deep red with a full white head. Wow, what cherry aroma and a flavor to match. Tart Montmorency cherries dominate; it doesn’t even taste like a beer. Awesome.

Good fruit ale but no way a 5 pointer. It’s too sweet. too cherry and too weak. I paid an arm and a leg for this and I was sorely disappointed. My wife tried it and said I should add Coke to it and make a Cherry Coke.

Bottle from Cavie. Pours a pretty Kool-Aid red with a slightly pink head. Smells like a Hall’s sore throat candy with a Fruit Roll-up. Oh, shit. It’s way too tart. The cherry is extremely strong. It’s great, but holy hell, it’s making my stomach rumble.

Bottle with big thanks to bonk0076. Thanks man, been lookin forward to this one for quite awhile. Pretty red pour that turns orange towards the edges. Smells of cherry cough syrup. Large fruit and cherry smell. Very potent. Taste has a big cherry taste with a slight tartness towards the front. Has a jolly rancher flavor also. Very fruity and intense.
