COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Tasted to me like liquid cherry pie a la mode. Delicious if you like cherries. But you absolutely must like cherries to enjoy this. Mild carbonation, strong creamy cherry aroma, cherry burst of flavors on the palate. Creamy smooth going down. I highly recommend this as a dessert beer. And a desert beer. Although "Belgian" is sort of lost on me, but who the hell am I? I’ve never even been to Belgium.

Bottle share at Cotteridge Wines. Thanks to Leighton. Cloudy red / brown, small ring of white head. Aroma is cherries, berries, plasticine and jam. Body is medium, slightly foamy, medium carbonation. Taste is juicy fruits, soft malt backbone, jammy sweet, dark cherry compote. For me this was the best beer on the day - complex yet very drinkable.

24th Jan 2015: Cotteridge Wine meet, shared bottle. ’Cherry B’ was/is a cherry wine in the UK and this had the same aroma. Sweet cherries abound in this brew from the colour right through to the slightly souring finish. Not really my thing but an interesting take on the more traditional Belgian style.

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano. Hazy, mucky, reddy amber. Huge cherry. Sour cherry. Taste is sweet. Some light sour. Rich, and a bit syrupy.

Bottled, sampled at The Cotteridge Convention, many thanks to Beersiveknown for this one. Hazy reddish amber with slight head. Sweet cherries from the off in this one, cherryade then a hint of sourness. Next to no subtlety around this. Too over the top for my taste.

Deep autumn rust in color with low to medium carbonation. Taste of sweet, slightly tart candied cherries, slight notes of dark fruit. Full bodied and filling.

Pours a cloudy reddish brown from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big sweet cherries, malt, and sweet fruit. Taste is big on the fresh fruit, cherry amazing, like cherry ice cream, wow. This is one of the best fruit beers I have ever had.

750ml bottle pours a deep reddy brown color with a bit of head. Huge cherry flavor, nice sweetness and a little cherry tartness.

Bottle split at the Cotteridge Convention, thanks to LKS, 24/01/14. Reddish amber with a moderate off white/crimson covering. Nose is cherry skins, almond, tarte berry, cherry bakwell, vanilla. Taste comprises glaced cherries, sweet licks, lightly soured cherry, red berry compote, jammy berry licks. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweetish close. Decent fruit beer but just don’t get these New Glarus fruit bombs anywhere near the 4 mark like most folks seem to manage!

Bottle at Cotteridge wine convention; cloudy mahogany red pout with a frothy light tan head, aroma has jam and cherry, taste is really fruity, cherry, strawberry, some tartness, excellent gas station beer.
