Bottle from Discount Liquors in Milwaukee. The beer appears crystal clear and bright golden with a thick, soapy white head. Aromas include sourdough bread, lager yeast, apple, lemon. Lots of bread and yeast character packed into a low abv beer. Thin body with moderately low carbonation. Easy drinking and smooth. Lingering flavors of bread dough and yeast. A hint of floral hops and a general earthy quality. A solid example of the style.

From a bottle. Wow, delicious, refreshing, crisp but with with a bit of malty body. Almost a little fruity.

A continuing benefit of living in Wisconsin is visiting and revisiting all New Glarus Brewery has to offer. A little lemon and bread on the aroma and super nice balance and crispness leading to a refreshing finish. I’m going through this six-pack pretty quickly.

Bottle from Steve’s in Fitchburg. Excited to rate as had years back, but never rated. Pours a semi-clear yellowish-orange with a white head leaving some spots of lace. Aroma has sweet fruits, lemons and yeasty bread. A bit dusky and earthy. Taste is of sweet fruits, with some lemon and - interestingly - apple or pears - certainly bread with tangy yeast and some earthiness. Light to medium bodied. Quite sweet and dusky. Finishes sweetly fruity and bready. Glad to have, and support a local. Not in love with the style, assuming this is a solid representation of it - something Dan Carey is known for.

This is a great beer and if you don’t think so, I urge you strongly to reconsider. We are all friends here. It is a very cloudy orange color w/ a sall foamy head. Its nose is of floral hops with an herbal character that is almost a bit minty. It is slightly sweet but still crisp due to high carbonation. It has a cookie-dough malt character w/ a light lemon note emphasized by very slight tartness. A very nice bit of mineral character comes out in the finish. I wish they sold this where I lived. It’d be a staple for sure.

This pours a clear, amber color with a slight head. The aroma is bold with barley and slight bit of hops. The taste is smooth and crisp with a very grainy flavor. This is a very unique grain beer that drinks like a pilsner but leaves a different lingering flavor. This is a unique style you don’t see very often so it may not appeal to everyone but it is sure worth a try.

Bottle: Clear gold with a tall white head. Wheat malt, barley, honey aroma. Flavour is sweet/mild barley, wheat..a hint of salt. THIS is what an everyday "BEER" should be.... Absolutely wonderful....excellent.

Clear golden with a light white head. Hay, grass. Hint of honey. A touch of bitterness that opens into quite full, sweetness. Lighter bodied, fairly chewy mouthfeel, light carbonation. Very pleasant, extremely drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
