12oz bottle served in a shaker. Hazy straw golden pour with a one-finger thick head of off-white foam that lingered around for a bit. Slick lacing. The aroma was very bready with some hay and grass. Also some sweet pale malt. The flavor had fresh bread, grass, mineral water, and a hint of faint citrus at the end. Clean and subtle, also a bit rustic. Medium-bodied with crisp, refreshing carbonation. I would have this on hand regularly if it was available in my area.

smooth mellow euro-centric hops, yeast and malts, make this heady brew a very nice fall Saturday brew.

Drank a 6pack to the head last summer to see what all the hype was about. This beer is really hit or miss. So many "determining factors," I could even count my mood at the time as one. When cold and fresh, it’s one of the better made kellers on the market.

The beer pours a hazy brightish gold with a light white head only rising about a finger and gone quickly. The aroma is nice and light, sweet, yeasty, bready, a little wheat, nice combination, needs a little more assertiveness. The start is nice and sweet but then at the end its super skunky so it really kills it for me. The feel is medium, limited drinkability because of the drinkability. Overall, started off ok, then fades to terribleness.

A: snifter. light yellow color, very cloudy. nice white head. faint lacing, decent retention. S: fruity. some clove, but that’s about it. a lot of yeasty aromas. T: light in flavor. almost wheat-like. yeasty flavors with some fruits, but hard to say which ones. M: smooth and creamy. light mouthfeel. good carbonation. D: I don’t really know whats going on with this style of beer, but it lacked a lot of flavor. very interesting, but not something I will drink again.

This was my first Keller Bier--picked it up during my wife and I’s honeymoon after our self-guided tour of the brewery. Pours a bright gold with a very nice white head and loads of lacing as it goes down. Pilsner malt with a good deal of sweetness, and plenty of European hops. The sweetness is just perfect--nothing too much, but it’s certainly there. Mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation. Drinkability is excellent; one of my favorite New Glarus beers, and perhaps my favorite that doesn’t have fruit in it. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-04-2009

Certainly not the best from New Glarus, but what can you really expect from a lager.

Pours a nice healthy foggy orange with a decent head. Not too much aroma, just a faint citrus, and a faint beer. Taste is also of a faint citrus and a faint beer. Very smooth.

Bottle (thanks to guyinchicago for this one)... Poured hazy, golden/orange with a thick white head. Good looking beer. Crisp, cracker-malt, biscuity aroma. Mild hops, earthy, honey sweet tones. And bread-like malts. Crisp, clean, refreshing and prominent yeast tones.
