4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours red with a billowy tan head. Wonderful aromas of funk, black pepper, orange zest, burlap, hay, and wood. Flavor is incredibly smooth, initial malty warmth smoothly becomes progressively sour as wood esthers, dark fruit, burlap, soil, and common wood sorrell (sour clover), with a going-away cheese-like funk and a sweet tart moment, leading to a grassy finish. The most interesting aspect is how it transitions slowly and smoothly into each moment on the palate, with no abruptness between profiles. Incredible.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out balsamic, cherry tartness and light funk - fairly acidic. Flavour is fairly acidic but not too much, with balsamic, cherry tartness and light funk. Balsamic and acidic finish. Nicely constructed. Really good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2016 Pours a hazy copper red from the bomber with thin bubbly white head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma of blueberry sweetness, light lactic sour, hint of oaky funk. Taste is fairly sweet, but nice lactic acidity still there. Soft carbonation, great for the price point.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, 2016 vintage. Pours fairly deep copper/ruby, big beige head. Aroma is very intense tart funk, blueberry, mild oaky note, sort of like woodchips, but not too much. Flavor is tart, blueberry, blackberry, more oaky, definite vinegary-ness to it. Dry finish. It’s really solid. It’s not the best sour I’ve ever had, but I like it a lot.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber, 2016 vintage. Vinous aroma of red wine with notes of vinegar, toffee, dark fruit and some oak. Pours ruby-copper colored with a thin tan head with decent retention and some lacing. Starts with red wine characteristics as well as some toffee and dark fruit sweetness to go with the lively mouthfeel. Finishes tart but not overly so with some Brett vinegar-like flavors and oak. Quite good, the best of their sours tried so far.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-27-15. 2015 edition with at least several months of age on it. Pours a surprisingly dark brown with a deep amber hue and a small amount of short-lasting, taupe head. Good-looking beer; nice hue. Cinnamon spiciness in the nose, reminiscent of cinnamon gum. Appetizingly tart smell; crabapple scent. Likable smell but I wish it exhibited greater complexity. Band-Aid chemical taste dominates. Dry apples in the flavor. Lightly salty, lemony taste. Little to no sourness; it’s the Brett not any bacteria that dominates. Soft in the palate. Medium body. Gets off to a good start in appearance and aroma but lets the imbiber down with its forgettable flavor and palate effects. A below average, though not radically below average, Sour/Wild Ale.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2015 I guess, as it’s 2015? Bar doesn’t list anything other than "New Holland Blue Sunday." Blueberry wine color, very unusual for a beer. Fine cream colored head. Blueberry wine/vinegar nose, mellowing to a candied blueberry with a bit of time. Mild sour predominates on the mouth, with a fuller blueberry backbone underneath. Fast slightly tannic finish. Good if unremarkable sour.
