The barrel aging really mellows this sour down a bit but it is still mouth puckering sour.

Complex aroma of vanilla, dark fruit and maybe some alcohol. Taste is complex, but nicely balanced between sour, sweet fruit, and oak/vanilla. Well executed with each of the elements playing off each other nicely.

Bottle. Pours ruby red with thin off white head. Great aroma of sweet tart cherries and blueberries, bit lactic creaminess, vanilla, oak. Taste presence tart and tangy berries, with known blueberries, lingering semi sweet tart berry, vanilla, oak. Lively mouthfeel. Hands down best New Holland beer I have had. Just lovely barrel touch, tart, nice palate, it has a lot going for it.

22oz bobmer shared by pineypower during the goodbye jcwatts tasting, thanks Dean. Poured clear mahogany brown body with an average sized foamy beige head. Aroma of light sour notes, chalky, dusty, cherry, some light chocolate and acidity. Medium body that is rather acidic, average to stronger carbonation with strong acididty on the end. Flavor is nicely sour, berries, cherry, lemons, touch of grains. Good stuff overall.

Tap. Medium Brown Amber. Lasting Light tan head. Drippy lace. Aroma is sour, fruity (maybe I was imagining it but I got blueberry - and in flavor as well). Sour, tart, funky. Soft carbonation. Pleasant finish.

Draft. This is one of the best tasting sours I've had. Tastes if some chocolate candy at first than finishes nice and tart. Lovely beer.

Smells great...promises a tart candy/cherry/apple flavor. Deep amber/brown color but lacking head. Itís dry as shit. Itís got a bit of a carbonic bite to it, that somewhat resembles some type of spice.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Dark cherry pour. Mostly clear candy-apple color against candlelight. Fizzy/foamy off-white head. Not a lot of aroma. Pleasant sour with a lot of barrel tannins. Currant jelly. Strawberry-Rhubarb. Sweet and sour sauce. Leather. Wild blueberries. Dried leaves. Quite tart and very astringent. Great unusual sour!
