COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Little John’s local bees create a spring wildflower-honey that lends a sweet, earthy complexity to a traditional style of beer (triple) with a balancing snap of ginger in the finish.

Wow so there is not a whole lot to say about this one. I appreciate the innovation here but it just doesn’t come together for me. The Belgian yeast is certainly on the nose and transcends to the front of the pallet. After that this one fizzles out as I get no sweetness from the honey or anything else for that matter. The high abv makes this feel a bit warm and also lacks any much in terms of drinkability.

Deep gold. The aroma of ginger is prominent. Taste - as expected, honey and ginger. Thick, oily texture. Malty. Low hops. This is pretty good but the ginger just overpowers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap - big foamy head, nice medium copper/amber color, fruity ester aroma and flavor, sweet malt and honey backbone, fair hop balance - pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml. Lightly hazy amber with a lasting ring of bubbles. Nose is earthy honey, bubblegum, toast, light citrus and resin. Taste is honey, orange toffee, wheat, earthy tea leaf and a touch of resin. Thankfully the ginger is subdued and only shows a bit in the long finish. Medium body is smooth with low carbonation and to the sweet side.

pours a nice amber color with white head, aroma has some citrus notes to it but you can really smell the booze, flavor is very sweet with a decent alcohol finish

Bottle. Deep amber. Nice full mouthfeel. Nose and taste are strongly of honey with a very mild ginger finish. Sweet without being cloying.

A very strong aroma of honey with touches of bubblegum and followed by some warm ginger. Appears clear copper with a few streams of rising carbonation, swirls of off white foam play on the surface and touces of lace grace the glass. Taste is very honey, sweet, but balanced with acidic and bitter ginger with some gentle bready malt on the end.palate is light and fizzy, nice. Overall, this is a great beer, I plan to buy more, if I can find it!

Bottle from Sean - thanks! Clear golden pour with a slight red hue and a slick of off-white foam. Sweet honey with ginger over clove and heavier malt in the aroma. Taste is honey up front with ginger quickly giving way to a denser malt flavor with some candied sugar and clove. Lightly coating mouthfeel. The honey and ginger nicely compliment the beer.

On tap at Chipotle Festival. Dark amber with an average sized white head. Aroma is mellow with notes of yeast, pale malts, pepper, and honey. Flavor is a bit sweeter with added lemon zest, ginger, and caramel. Finish is full of spice and a bit of booze.

The aroma is some Belgium yeast, earthy, leaves. Pours a clear copper/orange brown, off white frothy head, mostly diminishing. The taste is bitter/sweet then a little sour. The body is medium, the texture creamy a little slick, the carbonation fizzy and the finish bitter. Not bad, think I was looking for more of a honey taste/aroma.
