COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Pours a hazy amber color with a very small head. Definite sweetness you get from the style. It’s almost seems like it has some nutmeg and cloves in this one. Not my favorite one of this style.

Pale golden-amber pour. Aroma is light sweet pale/wheat malts, dried citrus, floral/herbal hops, light booze, and mild yeast spice. Flavor is initially mildly sweet pale/caramel malt, dried citrus, and bitter orange that gives way to a moderate hop bitterness. Nicely dry with mild to moderate booze. Could have used a little more yeast character, but pretty nice.

golden with small head. one of the lightest looking tripels i’ve seen, but full of flavor. i’ve been critical of many of new holland’s beers, but this is one of their best. very sweet with substantial belgian yeast. surprisingly easy drinking 9% beer.

Lots of yellow fruits swimming in a bready soup, very light barnyard, drinkable but not exciting.

Fizzy aroma has a strong fruity note and malty and herbal hints. It pours a beautiful clear golden amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, palest amber head that sticks around and leaves substantial lacing. Aggressive flavor fills the mouth with apple, pear, malt, hints of banana and yeast and touches of butterscotch and herbs. Smooth, firm-bodied texture has a good amount of fizz. Didn’t taste any tulip (unless that’s the herbal component my tongue noticed), but this is a darn good trippel, worth seeking.

Pale golden pour thin white bubbly head, very thin lacing ..... aroma is of fruity belgian yeast with the banana coming out the most and sweet malts ... also detecting some light floral hops .... taste is very spicy with a fruity banana belgian yeast, sweet malts, lightly sugary, and floral hops ... nice fresh flavors has a great spicy bite which is very lively in the mouthfeel ... finishes dry with a nice floral hop bite that lingers for awhile

Pours a dark gold with a nice white head that leaves nice lacing down the glass. Aroma is lots of spices, bubblegum fruity esters belgian yeast. Taste is about the same nice and spicy with hints of bubble gum and so but overame clove and candied sugar. The palate needed more carbonation, it was very, dull and flat did not like the palate on this
