Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Pours a bright, clear gold with a small amount of near-white head. Aroma has a bit of grain and dough to it, but definately a pine scent. Spicy/sweet flavor contains the elements of the aroma with a little bitter finish. Medium body. Soft. Easy to drink. Great!

Cloudy golden with a thin white foamy head. Earthy eatery Belgian nose with a bit of Belgian blonde malt. Big fluffy Belgian blonde malt with big yeasty tripel esters, banana, and a hint of booze and a bit of toast/biscuit. Really full and rich and complex. Nice and crisp but also estery and fruity and yeasty. Really keen.

Pours a peachy orange gold. Some soapy head. Aromas of sweet buttery caramel fruit bannanna and mixed fruit juicy, pepper, anise. marshmello spice. Same in taste, banana cream, bigger on peppery clovy(but not reall clovy) spice , some clove anise or licorice like, rich malt but smooth, buttery, a little more on the sweet side, 10.5% bottle by the way, not real boozy, orange, citrus, some grassiness and some dryness in finish. Pretty good. Pretty pleasant, not much to not like about this and Im not mostly real big on American Interpretation of Belgian style. I would say this is up there with some of the good authentic Belgian beer.

Aroma is mildly spicy/Belgian yeast and pale malts. The flavor is Belgian yeast, fruit, spices, vegetables and a mildly tart/sour/increasingly warming finish.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy dark amber color, full ivory head cover, bands of lace. Aroma of malt, hops and bread. Taste is semi-sweet malt that shows alcohol and floral hops early before allowing the malt to reappear in a long finish that becomes warmer and warmer. Big, filling, strong.

Clear amber with a small head. Aroma is very champagne like. Medium in body with good carbonation. Flavor is very good with nice fruity overtones and a bit of alcohol, though not as much as the abv would predict. Very nice.

Slightly hazy gold pour with an amber core, a one finger, creamy, soapy bright white head. Aroma is big on berry, tree fruit and banana esters, some toast, cereal, fruity floral notes, a hint of pepper, a hint of clove and light candi sugar-like sweetness. Flavor is cereal, starchy grain, doughy bread, sweet apple, sweet apricot, hay, caramel, fruity floral notes, alcohol, over ripe banana and a hint of citrusy spice. Medium body, syrupy, but slightly chalky and slick entry, light, somewhat blanketing and fairly sharp carbonation and dry, slightly boozy and warm finish. Good stuff, very estery, without being a complete booze bomb, like many of the more flavorful Tripels (especially American) seem to be..

Bottle. Big fruity nose, estery, berries, spice, and alcohol fumes. Hazy dark straw color. Sugary fruit, more berries, the fruit floats around but doesn’t develop into much. Medium body. Full of fruit. Tasty. Nice approximation, but still not a black tulip.

Aroma of yeast, tart fruits, and some spice. Taste follows suit. Apple type flavors hit particularly in the finish. Decent tripel. Vintage 2014 has 10.5% ABV; extraordinarily well-hidden. I didn’t think this tasted "boozy" at all.

The aroma evokes bread-like yeast. As I sip, I also taste caramel malt, and light hop note. Predominant tastes are sweet and sour. The aftertaste is of alcohol, but also smooth. Not too typical of a triple, but still pretty good.
