Pours a rich medium brown opaque with a nice head of tan bubbles that disappear moderately quickly. Nose is dry and maybe some odd scents. Medicinal? Taste is more of the odd medicinal taste that is somewhat sweet and slightly off. Some nut in the finish. Not sure if this beer is bad or old. Will re-review if i sample again.

This was courtesy of a trade with jandd1983 of Florissant, Missouri,. Thanks Doran. This beer poured a rich brown color and raised a nice off-white head. The nose was caramel malts and light touch of chocolate malts. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavor was big in malts and there are some floral hops. Finish is malty, Quite decent. .

I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Iím still a bit confused, in a good way, how this beer was put together. It was like a brown ale meets a chocolate shake. What Iíll remember most is the incredible creamy head and the decadent cocoa in the flavor. Its pretty crazy how much chocolate is in there.

12 oz. bottle from Joe. Pours brown, with a small, tan head. The aroma is coffee, black bread, and anise. Sweet, with a sharp, burnt bitterness. Medium to heavy body, chalky, and fairly thick. This is a fair brown ale, with too much toasted malt flavors.

Aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee. Pours a muddy brown with an average head. Taste is wonderful. Dark chocolate, roasty malt and coffee attack your buddies of taste. The best tasting brown Iíve had in a while. Palate is medium bodied. Overall, like I said, this thing tastes so good. It is a little dryer than I remember, not as sweet. Must try.

This one poured a hazy brown color with a beige head. Aroam was of brown sugar, toast, and light smoke. Flavor was smoke, brown malt and toast. Better than most examples of the style.
