This beer, aged with Chili de arbol peppers in the barrels, is one of a series of innovative specialties to sneak out of our Dragonís Milk Cellar. The earthy pepper character mingles with the dark roasted tones of the Dragonís Milk as the spice slowly warms your palate, pleasantly contrasting the deep malt character. Pairings red meat, smoked foods, balsamic, rich cheese & dark chocolate.

On tap at the score, Aroma is chocolate and peppers. Taste is bourbon and chocolate up front with some subtle pepper, and then the pepper really kicks in... very nice

375 ml bottle pours a black color without much head. Chilies balance nicely with the roasted malt. But they burn long after.

Boozy taste not too much chocolate. Medium spicy finish which goes well with the dark beer. Some bourbon taste. A solid beer.

Dark coffee brown with a light dry malt aroma. Malty pepper upfront with a little burbon chocolate sweetness in the middle. Nice chili pepper finish. Good beer.

Black. Nose of light roasted malt, dry oak, bitter chocolate, and a hint of vegetal spiciness. Flavor is a lightly dry oaky pepper with some faint roast and bitter chocolate. Lingering medium pepper heat. Pretty nice.

Thanks Danny! Not bad. Dark black pour. Pretty solid blend of oak, chocolate, spicy pepper. Heat from both booze and chilliesÖbut neither overwhelming. Tad thin.

Pours a dark chestnut brine color that appears pitch black and completely opaque in the glass. One finger beige foam head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Decent retention, leaving sporadic streaks of soapy lacing on the way down. Slightly smokey robust dark malt aroma with a prominent dry, roasted pepper presence and some subtle oak. Hints of burnt malt, dark chocolate, oatmeal and coffee grinds complimented by the peppers and charred oak. The oak stands out after it warms but is not overpowering in the nose with faint wood/toothpick character. Thereís also a decent amount of smoked chili pepper but itís nicely integrated into the beer without overwhelming the other notes. Some sweeter malt notes as well with some bakerís chocolate, caramel and toffee. The addition of chili de arbol peppers really changes the aroma of dragons milk. Itís an interesting addition but Iím not sure it improves on the original. Not as complex or inviting as I had hoped. Slightly viscous full body with smokey, robust dark malts countered by subtle charred oak, lighter malt sweetness and a prominent, fiery hot pepper presence that dominates from mid palate until long after the lingering finish. Charred oak, bittersweet dark chocolate, and deeply roasted coffee followed by sweeter chocolate and toffee before the peppers come in providing some smokey heat. Itís really unique how different this beer tastes from beginning to end. The peppers come in mid way through and obliterate the original flavors. Iím not really sure what to think about it because I would like more of the oak and stout character but the fiery hot pepper and cinnamon flavors are petty appealing. I just wish that they were as nicely integrated as the nose suggests and that there was overall better balance.

Dark brown pour with a hint of red, small tan head quickly fades to a ring. Boozy aroma with some roasted malts. Flavor is quite earthy, wood, smoke with a spicy finish. Like most stouts, this got better as it warmed. Very nice beer!

12 oz. bottle. Pours deep dark brown black with a thin tight mocha head that fades quickly to a thin wispy film and collar. Aroma is smooth roasted chocolate marshmallow malt and that all I get in the scent. Taste is roasted chocolate malt with noticeable chilies throughout the finish, really over takes all other flavors. As this warms I get hints of raspberries and blueberries in the swallow before the chilies kick in. Palate is full slick and warming with spicy chilies. Really like it, but the chilies over ride all other aspects of this one.

Sweet aroma. Pours thin with no head. Ink black. Sweet coffee chocolate lead with break of throat tickle of hear that builds. Well done. A little thin
