COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Bottle. Poured a dark, purplish brown color with a nice brown head and strong lacing. Aroma was very pleasant, with a nice blend of roasted malts and oak. Mouthfeel was okay. Flavor wasn’t as bold as I had expected, especially for the ABV. Hints of chocolate, oak, alcohol, toffee, and coffee. This was a nice big offering from New Holland.

Still quite sweet w/ the high alcohol content, this tastes of chocolate, cherry, bourbon and even a bit of coconut.... delicious and very appropriate for dessert/late night food pairings. Scored this bottle at a "Yankee Swap" this past Xmas (with help from the Wifey), and hope I can find another one someday, as I just couldnt stop myself from opening it a bit early (2013 edition).

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small head. Aroma of roasted malt, bit of chocolate and bourbon. Taste of roasted malt, nice light chocolate sweetness and bourbon. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and silky feel. Excellent balance and no hint of the 10% ABV. Very enjoyable beer to relax with.

Tap in Atlanta, Ga Can smell the lactose, sweet malty. Smells like ice cream float with a shot of bourbon. Silky smooth mouth feel with hints of coffee, toffee, bourbon. Very easy to drink, scary for a 10% abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber - Vintage 2014. Near black in color with a small frothy tan head. Bourbon, oak and vanilla cream aroma. Heavy roasted flavor with dark chocolate, vanilla ice cream, some ripe fruit and a bourbon finish. Creamy texture and well carbonated. Goes down way too smooth for 11% abv. Great tasting stout!

On tap at Cafe Hollander. Very dark pour, dense tan head with nice lacing. A very creamy, smooth beer with lots of oak mixed in with roast flavors. Generally sweet, but it dries out in the end with just a hint of hop finish. Nice.
