COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dragonís Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Very good milk stout. Thin texture with earthy aroma. Sweet on the finish. Similar to a barleywine but not as strong.

From bottle. Pours a pitch black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma has roasted malts, bourbon, milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Taste is roasty, light bitter, rather sweet, pretty boozy, oaky bourbon finish. Low carb and an oily body. Nice value stout!

I havenít been holding on to this for very long; perhaps a couple of months. I havenít had an awful lot of chances to do review, but I knew that this one would have to be soon. The idea of a bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout is always intriguing. I took it out of the refrigerator and let it sit for just a little while, allowing the warmth of the room to work its magic before opening the bottle. Delightful to watch, the slightly viscous liquid cascades into the glass, hugging the walls and presents with a thin, latte colored foam. The aroma is very light bourbon, soaked in oak and dark fruits. Some hints of chocolate are apparent and I could imagine that itís going to be an easy one to enjoy. As I sip, the carbonation eats at the surface of my tongue, and although I am not as big a fan of carbonation in an Imperial Stout, this seems to pave the way for the flavor. I taste the chocolate, heavier in the flavor than it is in the aroma, and the bourbon accents the chocolate very nicely without being overbearing or bitchy. The oak flavors come through nicely; the time it spent in those barrels did an excellent job of subtlety and warmth. The finish is comfortable, quiet, and short; it allows the beer to be a drinker, rather than a sipper, despite the style. A delicious brew, and something I would buy again. Surely a brew worthy of a first-timers Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout.

Excellent BBIS. 4 months old, aroma of bourbon, vanilla, faint chocolate, and burnt brown sugar. Taste is very smooth with same notes as the aroma. Delicious tasting stout with just enough sweetness to balance the dark roast. Medium mouthfeel, a little light for a big stout but definitely not too light. Nice one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet grain malts, caramel, molasses intensify, sweet, dark fruits, prunes, soft carbonation, full bodied. Fantastic Sweet Stout, amazing dark fruits in aroma and palate. Bottle in wine glass. Have had this fresh and now just on the BB-date. The alcohol was a bit too strong to begin with and now with age has stepped out even further. A bold brew for sure but but not for the records.

Itís pretty good. The boozey taste can be a bit much at times, but the complex choclately coffee taste paired with the whiskey is fun.

Bottle with Twostal. Aroma of chocolate ice cream and light bourbon barrel. Very dark brown with beige head. Taste is chocolaty and bittersweet, and a little metallic; not really any bourbon, but the wood is there. Full bodied, thick and creamy.

On tap at yard house, red rocks. Pours black with a tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, wood, vanilla and bourbon. Similar aroma. Has a full body with a slight boozy finish. Worth having again.

First time drinking this in a few years. Bottle from 2015. Not as impressed as I once was, though, sadly. Iím getting bourbon on the nose, oak and some vanilla on the palate, and lots of bourbon on the finish, but there isnít the fullness that lights up your tongue like some other big stouts. Itís missing some of that deep, cocoa-y roast Iíd like an imperial stout, and the flavors donít seem to meld. Itís not overly complex. I really want to love this beer, but Iím just liking it.
