Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

12 oz bottle for 4 bucks. Pours black with a slight brown/amber hue to it and a huge light brown head. Aroma is huge on the bourbon side of things, with some vanilla, caramel and chocolate coming through as well. Taste is mostly coffee and roasted malts up front with a slight bourbon taste and alcohol coming through on the back end. Medium body and texture but slightly creamy. Not as thick as I normally like in an Imperial Stout. It’s a pretty good beer but I just don’t think I am a fan of the bourbon barrel style of beers. Still this is probably the best one I have had so far. Decent enough but overpriced.

Deep dark brown body with a small light brown head. Aromas of leather malty tones. Very creamy and thick chocolate flavour with malted roast notes. Creamy full body. Nice creamy feel and good balance.

Dark black with some red hue. Hot. Woody. Good baseline bourbon barrel stout. Tasted at carters bottle share.

Sampled from a 12 oz. bottle at the Big Texas Beer Fest. Poured an opaque black with a tan head and lacing. Taste of chocolate milk, vanilla and very subtle roasted malts. Average carbonation, full body, oily texture.

Near black with a beige head. Aroma is strong sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Taste follows the nose and is very easy to drink. Alcohol is completely hidden. Slick full body. Really nice beer.

Wow. The first sip is mind-blowing. Then it’s still excellent. Bourbon, vanilla combine to almost be a coconut flavor.

A hot beer without the complexity to mask it. Palate is very light but with the high abv kick. Would not buy again

Pours very dark cola some initial foamy tan head and spotty lacing. Nose is vanilla and some chocolate. Flavours are vanilla, chocolate, espresso, dark fruit some bourbon in the background. Taste med/big sweet, medium bitter. Think oily body with medium carbonation and a lasting bitterness. Nice beer,.

Una de las revelaciones del Barcelona Beer Festival. Tienes el embeleso del dulzor, derivado de la lactosa, que te hace olvidar que estás ante una bestia alcohólica. Podría estar bebiendo más, lo cual es una estupenda señal.
