Dragonís Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

I consider this beer for the Hard Core stout drinker. The oak barrel taste and hint of bourbon makes it a good sipping beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a stout that is too heavy to drink more than one bottle. It is too sweet and the alcohol content is too high.

The aroma of oak barrels, whiskey and dark fruits. The taste is of oak and alcohol. Heavy bitterness that fills the mouth for a long while. Too much alcohol taste. This beer I liked unfortunately not. Follow me @ Kung av Ųl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottled, 2014 vintage. Pours black with very small tan head. Aroma is brimming with bourbon, coffee, vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate, Really excellent smelling beer. Flavor is bourbon character, vanilla, chocolate, fairly standard for a bourbon-aged beer, but the balance is just perfect. Really not too boozy. Phenomenal.

I have been drinking beer for 29 years, awesome beer for about 27 of thos years. This beer is one you could go back to over and over again. Iíve had this on tap and in bottles, and havenít one regretted one penny that Iíve spent on dragons milk. Rich, smooth and sting all at the same time is difficult to achieve when brewing beer at this scale, but they did it with this brew. I have had many other Bourbon barrel stouts and ales, and the only My gf and I liked better (yes, lucked out and found a hot woman that insists on great beer..damn!) was the seasonal brew BackWoods Bastard...but, good luck finding that anywhere.

Dark brown in color. Creamy, brownish head stays satisfactionary long. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon and wood. Alcohol hided well behind taste. In aftertaste I think I feel a little alcohol, but it is not disturbing. Almost perfect beer.

Black pour with a thin beige cap. Nice nose thatís sweet but not syrupy; chocolaty but roasty, with just a kiss of oak barrel. Delightful flavor of the same; light chocolate, light roast, light oak barrel. Nothing really vies for dominance but itís still full bodied. A light roasty oak char comes through a little more strongly on the finish.

Nearly opaque black in color with a 1 finger light tan head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate with an oaky character. Medium-Heavy mouthfeel. The bourbon definitely plays a dominant role in this beer staying present until the very end of each sip. Dark chocolate, vanilla and molasses flavors also come through. Lacks complexity overall. Not much alcohol warmth for an 11% abv. Not a bad substitute for Goose Island Bourbon County.
