COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dragonís Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2015 The aroma is roasty with the strong smell of chocolate. It is black with almost no light through it with a brown head. It has a strong alcohol taste, complex flavors with hints of bourbon mixed with chocolate. There is a wood after taste with a bitter finish.

This is the bourbon barrel stout. Found at giant eagle 15 bucks for 4 bottles. Plainly said itís awesome. Good bourbon finish. Not too much chocolate. 11% alcohol helps

Chocolatey and warm burn. It's easy to drink but really good. Stays on the palate nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is review of 2013 vintage Pours a black body with a 1/4th inch tan head. Head retention is above average for style and lacing is average. Smell is of bourbon, licorice, rye, and some fig and prune. Getting some aromas of a quad or a doppelbock. Alcohol is moderate and hops arenít present. Taste is similar to smell with more of an emphasis on the bourbon. Decent amount of heat upfront with spice notes and burnt oak throughout. A little vanilla combats the booze, no hops detected. Mouthfeel is decently carbonated with a thin amount of foam to coat the tongue. Body is full and alcohol leaves an astringent feeling on the roof of my mouth. Overall beer was good but a little rough around the edges. Alcohol was still very present for being two years old. Thought the flavors were kinda jumbled around, canít say I would buy again.

Butelka. Barwa czarna z wyraźnymi refleksami pod światło. Piana beżowa, nietrwała, znika po dłuższej chwili. Bardzo przyjemny, intensywny aromat wanilii pochodzący z beczki. Poza wanilią wyczuwalna růwnież kakao, czekolada, ciemne słody. Gdzieś na trzecim planie karmel. W smaku dominuje wspaniała wanilia, kakao oraz mleczna czekolada. Piwo charakteryzuje się wysoką, niezalegającą goryczką. Alkohol fajnie drapie w gardło. Bardzo przyjemne piwo.

Share@GBBF 2015, Olympia, London - pours dark brown to black with beige head. Dark roasted malty aroma and taste with chocolate, caramel sweetness, some vanilla, bourbon infused okay wooden nuances, great stuff.

Oh my. Dragonís Milk is one of those beers thatís been on my radar for a while. Now that Iíve had it, I understand the hype. This is a beautifully complex beer. Appearance is black with tan foam. Aroma is bourbon, roasted malt, cream, and wood. Flavor reveals coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and oak. Body is full, warm, and strong. This stuff is potent but dangerously easy to drink.

Bottle at GBBF, Olympia, London, 2015. Dark brown pour with a wispy white head. Rich dark malty aromas of raisin, dark fruit and chocolate. Flavours of licorice toffee, chocolate and coffee. Deep warming alcohol. Nice.
