This was pretty pricey ($16 for a 4-pack where I live), it better be good. I have heard great things about this one; finally decided to try it myself. Dragon’s Milk pours dark brown instead of black and it looks more like a porter than a stout. It has a very light tan head. Different looking than my favorite stouts, so I’m docking it a few points there. Biased for sure, but It’s my review. The aroma is a little light for such a big stout. There is some cappuccino, bourbon sweetness, malt, black licorice and dark chocolate. Good smell, but I was expecting stronger. The taste is a perfect mash-up of a milk stout (is that why it’s called Dragon’s Milk?) and a coffee stout. Think of a watered down version of your favorite bourbon barrel aged stout. The palate was disappointing. Watery, thin with an aftertaste of coffee bitterness and not much else. This brew is exceedingly drinkable for 10% ABV, but I don’t feel that it’s worth the money. Good, not great. If I were RB, I wouldn’t give it a 98. More like an 85.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at Artistic Table. It pours a dark brown color with a khaki head. The aroma has some anise, licorice and cola. The flavor is sweet with cola, vanilla, anise and coffee. A little wood. The body is a little weak for such a big beer. Decent, but not great. A little too sweet, simple and lifeless.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I get brandy aromas more so than bourbon with chocolate, vanilla and a little dried fruit. Has some similarities to a Dubbel minus the carbonation.
Not a monster but enjoyable.

Pours black with a medium foamy mocha head. Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, oak, muscovado sugar, roasted , roasted nuts. Taste is sweet and roasted with barrel notes and moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is velvety and full bodied with low carbonation. Very good!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chocolate milky booze aroma with notes of mint, dark brown, amber edges. Lots of dark roast and wood on the tongue along with sweet chocolate milk, pretty full, heavy at first but sharp on the finish. Good beer.

Very good. Dark beer. Very rich and heavy. Good if your looking for a comforting drink to have and plan not to do ANYTHING after you have had one.

I’m no beer rating expert, but I do know what I like...and I really like this beer. It pours dark, almost black., Aroma is strong...very pleasant. It’s buttery smooth, very tasty and "feels" warm, even when cold. There is almost no bitterness. Sitting here now drinking this beer again, it’s even better than I remembered.

It's syrup. But it's really tasty syrup that will get you drunk. Doesn't seem like 11 percent.
